No surprise

@ Hep Kat: It really isn't. It's not 'Cold Vein' caliber, for sure, but it's an entirely feasible sequel to it, in any sense of the word. Everyone is going to complain about El-P's absence, but truthfully it's less felt than anyone could have imagined. Bill Cosmiq does a spectacular job of meshing with the atypical CanOx deliveries, and the album in general feels more coherent because of it. Considering how mediocre the EP turned out, this is pretty surprising.

overall I found the beats pretty uninteresting, too many features, and it kinda seems like vordul has taken the back seat. that's after only one listen though, so I'm hoping it will grow on me. At this point I'm neither impressed or disappointed.

honestly hep i know you've only listened to the album once and you should listen again

the way this album is produced, the first listen is challenging because its really hard to figure out what the fuck is going on with those beats. the second time around with this album is completely different because you can start to actually digest the beats. and every listen from there forward is just like wow CanOx couldnt have made a better and more appropriate follow up to Cold Vein.

it gets better each listen honestly. i just listened for the 6th time or so and yeah, familiarity with the beats really helps you make sense of the album.
