I like it too. I'm a big TAS fan. Not because they have outstanding musicianship but because they are fun and they have always been reliable when it comes to putting out music that progresses but still remains true to the sound they set out to create. I know most of sputnik doesn't like them but whatever. Even with the new guitarists it still sounds just like what I would expect out of them.

Don't understand how this music is 'fun.' "Nose attuned to the scent of burning flesh" - I'll never enjoy a song that has
that kind of stupid, grotesque lyrical content. Metal for me is about screaming something your passionate about. This
screams 'I'm a pyscho dick.' Fuck this band and whatever genre it falls into.

@MegaJake1024 Listen to the older stuff, its not like that. But if you must know, its just nihilist lyrics and they don't mean what they are at face value.

@Uranium how did Emmure ruin them for you?

These guys have always been infinitely better than Emmure. Even though it isn't too often, at least they bring something other than chugs to the table from time to time.

Yep, and at least they write songs that sound different from one another.

That, and Vincent, regardless of his more limited range, is by far a better vocalist.

And The Acacia Strain actually has shows where shit gets destroyed, bones get broken and anger is supreme and when Emmure has shows 15 year old scene kids try to have sex with each others hair.

yea the a.s. ARE much better than emmure but at the end of the day it's still, bland open ended strumming that exhausted itself years ago.

I agree for the most part. Not huge on them, but I can jam them when I want to kinda let loose and hear really meatheaded lyrics and junz.

TAS is the only band out of that whole genre of chug shit I listen to because it actually isn't as bland as it seems first few listens. If we use the "bland open ended strumming" logic then we should go hate on every 4 chord punk progression, singer songwriter that uses a 2-5-1 progression and every metal guitarist that plays an arpeggio in a track. It's music and TAS does this type of music better than any other band out there.

Meshuggah is a different animal though. TAS is what Meshuggah would be if Meshuggah was hardcore.

Must have been at a shit show. It's all about the people and it's all about whose headlining. When TAS is headlining or they are a big name on the tour people show and give it hell for the most part.

that's why I can't stand it. Frankie's vocals are awful and the band just rips off TAS's ideas. They're a joke because they do the same thing over and over again and it's equally awful everytime. Goodbye to gallows was just the start of that trend. uninspired copy paste breakdown, bro slam, generic lyric about sleeping with a girl a then telling her shes a slut, breadown, metalcore riff, breakdown. that's all emmure is.

Nothing will top The Dead Walk or 3750. The last time I saw TAS headlining in a small venue, they killed it. One of the most violent shows I've ever been to.

Wormwood is a really solid album as a whole. I liked it a lot. I think The Dead Walk is the best though, I'm ok with 3750 but it's just sort of alright imo.

I do like alot of TAC's stuff, but this song is pretty redundant. From their last few releases, when you've heard one song you've heard them all.

"I saw plenty of people get knocked out during emmure nothing during the acacia strain."

but when you factor in the average body weight, number of females and number of fgts at an emmure show it becomes apparent that the likelihood of a person getting knocked out is approximately 56% higher due to these factors alone and not the actual violence level of the show

This is almost as heavy as Creedence Clearwater Revival. While it didn't meet my elevated standards, I am still very pleased. Thank you Vincent & The Acacia Dragoons, you've nabbed yourself a fan.
