HOT DAMN ALL THE NEW NEWS

Pretty boring track
| |
alright song, reminds me of Filter. I wasn't expecting this to be mind-blowing, but I'm sure he'll grow as a song writer as this project rolls on though
| |
It is very Filtery.
| |
i like it.
| |
ehhh
| |
Ah fuck nvm I listened to the teaser lol...this is pretty boring
| |
no hope
| |
Song is alright, I will miss the fuck out of his harsh vox though.
| |
I thought the song was alright, kinda reminds me of Chester Bennington's side project he had a while back. He's gonna need some serious variation if he wants to stand out.
| |
This seemed too safe. And it worries me that he said this is the heaviest song.
| |
Nah, I knew it wasn't going to be anything like Underoath, I was just hoping that he wouldn't play the safe card.
| |
It's alright.
| |
I agree it sounded much too safe. I expected something a little more ethereal from him. Hopefully the teasers are an indication of where he is going with the majority of Sleepwave. Because this song (he admitted it wasn't yet finished) is just really bland with weak melodies and very average lyrics. Still I'll keep a look out for what he releases next.
| |
Even if it's not that great, it's nice to see an artist who isn't willing to stop doing what they love.
| |
this is just boring as hell. not in comparison to underoath, just as music in general. there is nothing redeeming about this at all.
| |
that's great aubergine tell us more
(but please don't)
| |
Song is okay. Definitely not what I expected. But hey, it's Spence. I'll settle for this until I can hear the new album
| |
I enjoyed the song.
It's certainly not as grandiose and ambitious as his work in Underoath but it's cool never the less. The fact that they emulated Filter's sound with less success, hampers this quite a bit though.
| |
could go anywhere rly. i'll give it a spin.
| |
His voice is still fucking great, I'm happy
| |
dude has some of the most badass harsh vox for this style, wish he would use that
| |
Idk about you guys, but it sounded a little too safe
| |
Pretty good. He said in an interview with altpress that it's not the mastered version of the song though.
| |
"dude has some of the most badass harsh vox for this style, wish he would use that" Agreed I'm hoping he uses them sparingly but he's still a fuckin beast clean singer
| |
NEEDS MOAR SCREEMZ!!
| |
I liked pretty much everything Underoath did over the years but this song does little for me. Very uninspired rock music.
| |
I dig his cleans a lot, but was expecting something a lot.... darker. Not like an Underoath clone just more ethereal.
| |
This isn't very good
| |
I enjoyed it, but needs more scream and less theme.
| |
Pretty boring.
| |
Not a bad song, but dammit, I was hoping he would start a metal band. His clean vocals are okay but his screams are killer.
| |
I miss the harsh vox, but was not expecting Underoath Pt. II. The teasers made it seem like it was going to be a bit darker and more ambient which is what I wanted. The Filter thing is a waste of his talent.
| |
The song is alright, but nothing special
| |
I can't give this extra credit just because it's Spencer.
Wanted to like this so bad, didn't like it.
| |
Ill miss his earth shattering screams. Dude is so fucking monstrous for being a little guy
| |
Underoath>>>>>>>this
| |
Why would you bother comparing the two, they're completely different
| |
"Why would you bother comparing the two, they're completely different"
true. im just saying i enjoy listening to underoath more than this.
| |
I agree because Underoath are great but you're comparing a band with, what, seven albums to one song. Not to mention that they are very different styles. At least wait until Sleepwave release some more music than just one single before making those sort of comparisons.
| |
"I agree because Underoath are great but you're comparing a band with, what, seven albums to one song. Not to mention that they are very different styles. At least wait until Sleepwave release some more music than just one single before making those sort of comparisons."
that's fair i suppose.
| |
Boring. Static Feed 02 is more interesting
| |
It does appear that Underoath were only good as the sum of their parts the Almost and now this show that. Still hoping for something more from Spencer though, currently however Carrollhood look to be the best thing to come out of the split.
| |
I feel like deciding not to scream AT ALL is really going to backfire. I really enjoy his clean vocals and I'm not looking for another Underoath, but this feels far too underwhelming. Spencer's vocals, both clean and harsh carry a lot of emotion, emotion that the music itself isn't enhancing at all here. And with his one sided performance he can't really carry it all, good voice or not.
| |
lol at the fuckheads judging a 1 minute teaser saying it's "safe"
| |
lol
| |
Heavy jazz influence with too many augmented chords. I prefer it when he sticks to his well documented hip hop roots.
| |
why dont you go jack off to a day to remember, andcas?
| |
Not that anything else needs to be said, but this takes advantage of almost none of his talent. Even the guitar tone was putting me to sleep. Agree with what everyone is saying about him doing something darker.
| |
"he didn't call it sleepwave for nothing"
touche
| |
i'm actually going to jump on the underoath > sleepwave train
pretty confident in saying that, even with only 1 sleepwave song
come at me bros
| |
auberginedreams is still being a shithead on this site wow who would have guessed ??
| |
whatd he do
| |
Really underwhelming
| |
Had high hopes, but was sadly disappointed.
| |
I'm one of those noobs that thought it would sound like underoath
