I was never a fan of this band, and this song is... Just average. I don't hate it or like it. Was hoping they'd improve with all the lineup changes.

Standard Chimaira these days. Sounds pretty boring tbh.
Emil is a damn good guitarist but his talents could be used elsewhere.
|

Well, yeah I guess "average" is the best way to describe this. The guitar solo was pretty cool though.
What happened to the riffs and anger/passion that filled Impossibility of Reason - Resurrection? I miss those days. "Worthless" absolutely destroys in a gym.

Band has been overstaying it's welcome for too many god damn years.

The song felt kind of slow. But for the most part I thought the song was decent. Never really listened to any of their past stuff, so I can't say if this is better or worse.

Chimaira could be a much better band with a different but similar vocalist (the guy from Bleed the Sky always springs to mind). Mark's lyrics are uniformly bad and the way he over-pronounces each syllable makes them worse. Single-handedly ruined their self-titled and the promise of "Resurrection"

I'll check this out but probably won't like it.

The band never really had anywhere to go but downhill. They've pretty much made the same album their entire career.

Didn't enjoy this.

Contrary to the popular belief above, I do enjoy this song; way better than most of Age of Hell

There's nothing wrong with a medium paced, brooding track. Pretty excited for this new cd
|

very dull. Sounds like something off the infection (which bored me) Wish they could of kept Rob who is still one of my favourite guitarists.
|

Solo is the only cool part.
|
| |
not bad. like the one riff in it.
|
| |
the age of hell was so boring.

I've never been a big fan, liked some songs over the years, however The Age of Hell was pretty good IMO.
This sounds pretty average though.
On a side note people should stop bitching about who is in the band and just listen to the music.

Are Chimaira the new Atreyu?
|

I haven't listened to anything past Resurrection. Those albums were good, though.

Improvement from most of the The Age of Hell, yet still doesn't top anything from their s/t or Resurrection. It's as though they gave up on focusing on the riffs in favour of Mark's vocals; he isn't bad, but he lacks any sort of diversity to make up for the dull chug-chug-chug that dominates all their current songs.

THIS all the way.
