i don't get the band name
| |
it's gay
| |
They probably go on /mu/
| |
hahahahahaha that name
"Physical albums and their sales rarely interest anyone today" - phuqq u I like the physical thing.
| |
As someone who is part Lithuanian I must check this out and support the cause.
| |
are the band autistic ?
| |
Support? It's free, bro, the guy clearly states he doesn't want to raise money for autism.
| |
nevermind
| |
no but my brother is, just wondered why they called the band that name thats all
| |
Our band name will be Autism, bro, sounds good
| |
There's a band called Autistic Daughters, and their great, and I've never seen anyone really care too much about their name... Regardless, I like bands with kind of odd names, and I like post-rock, and free music. So, I shall check this out.
| |
Am gonna check this
| |
I'm sure death metal bands have been named worse...
| |
great band name
| |
I heard they're going on tour with Cushing's Syndrome and Childhood Obesity.
| |
Meh, it's ok, nothing special
Gets a high 3/5
| |
that description sounds like a low 2.5
| |
I want to rate low just because of the name.
| |
2.5 for me is really low, I don't dislike it so it's not below a 3
| |
Music is pretty good, but there is no heart in it. It's all theory and no meaning. So in that way, the band name is suitable.
| |
Terrible band name.
| |
Can't wait for the Ass Burgers EP
| |
They should tour with Down Syndrome.
| |
And open for System of a Down
| |
Aren't these songs a little short for post-rock?
| |
I think the name is in reference to how you have to be autistic to like post-rock.

That said, this isn't that bad.
| |
this band is retarded
| |
name a post-rock band Autism because there's no vocals
witty
| |
^^touche. I guess this is one way to raise Autism awareness
| |
Well, it was underwhelming. Technically, it's good. but otherwise, it's just like everything else I've heard in post-rock a billion and infinite times. Ugh, there's no inspiration in the genre anymore, kinda frustrating.
| |
Post-rock has rarely ever been inspiring.
People tell me that Oceansize is post-rock. I don't think I even understand what the genre is anymore,
because they've got plenty of vocals. But if they're post-rock, that's about as much on the fringe as
I can stand....because Explosions in the Sky and Isis suck balls.
| |
that picture just made everything worse
| |

Yeah, it's like a general label nowadays that people just slap down on a band if they use more instrumentation than normal.
I'd say it was inspired back in the day it first started, you know, when Talk Talk, Tortoise, Slint, and GY!BE were going at it. But now it's just contrived, really.
And Isis are post-metal bro, get it right. Jk. A lot of people get up in a fit about that, though.
| |
i get it
cause post-rock is generally slow
autistic
slow
hmmmm
| |
Spot on band name!
| |
i hear they'll be experimenting with aspergers on their next release
| |
heard the lead singer knows every pitcher on the 1978 pittsburgh pirates roster
| |
The name would have made a great freak folk band.
| |
laughable band name
lets all laugh
| |
anthony fantano gets on this website
| |
