Lyrics read like a John Donne fever dream.

Is there an actual song or is it just the lyrics
?
|
| |
Not too bad

nvm AP site is not a fan of chrome
|
| |
damn metalcore bands love dressing up
|
| |
I think it's pretty comparable to their songs from the Zombie EP, which is definitely a good thing.
|
| |
song was awesome.
|
| |
Fuck, this was good. Good thing they're bringing back that heaviness from Zombie. I can honestly say that I'm excited for the new album.
|
| |
actually love this band. Don't care what anyone says. Their live shows are so fun.
|
| |
are they really turning into hipsters or were they just dressing up?
|
| |
"actually love this band. Don't care what anyone says. Their live shows are so fun."
They were mediocre back then, but they do put on one hell of a live show.
|
| |
Actually love this band. Don't care what anyone says. Their live shows are so fun. [2]
My favorite band despite everything else I listen to. Excited for this.
Their stuff was mediocre but it was still lots of fun. I don't think I'll ever get tired of them.
|
| |
Really looking forward to the new album from these guys, this was impressive, like their Zombie EP stuff.
|
| |
Singing is better.
|
| |
Song is pretty good
|
| |
hranica's high scream is the most annoying shit ever, song was okay tho
|
| |
its nice to see that people arent prejudging them quite as much as before.
|
| |
Just wait.
|
| |
^oh lawd
|
| |
Vox kill it for me.
|
| |
they said thursday like "yell" which i think are somewhat present in this song itself
|
| |
Fuck this slays.
|
| |
I have a hard time distinguishing how this compares to the their other music in some ways. For me, I have always loved this band and I didn't realize what made them "generic" when I started listening to this kind of music, but I definitely do feel that they have grown a lot. I think they've developed their own style and hopefully this album will be their best release yet.
|
| |
Andcas did you listen to this? he yells a few times and sounds just like the thursday dude haha
|
| |
I definitely do feel that they have grown a lot. I think they've developed their own style and hopefully this album will be their best release yet. [2]
|
| |
Well, we'll see, Andcas. This is one of 13 songs.
One thing I've never understood is how people find Mike's vocals to be "grating" when there are vocalists like Jacob Bannon and the vovalist from A Sawtooth Grin. Not to mention, if you hear Mike live, his vocals are actually even better. I think in the recording process, they must do something that makes his voice sound more harsh. I don't think it's intentional, but it just happens that way.
|
| |
jeremy is still in the band?
ugh
|
| |
dude, the singing is so much better in the song. He doesn't wail nearly as much. It's a lot more low-key and I think it flows along with the song better.
|
| |
Yeah nothing changed musically andcas just a few vocal lines
|
| |
Mike has always been good. I don't agree on him being better than Bannon though. I love Bannon's vocals.
|
| |
The clean vocals make the song very weak sounding. Everything else is great though; I love the use of both high and low screams.
|
| |
"Mike has always been good. I don't agree on him being better than Bannon though. I love Bannon's vocals."
No, I never said that. I'm just saying they both have harsh sounding vocals. I think Bannon is better, even though I love Mike.
|
| |
"No, I never said that. I'm just saying they both have harsh sounding vocals. I think Bannon is better, even though I love Mike."
Oh, haha, alright man. Yeah, I've always dug Mikes scream. He gets down. Especially since now he has that rough higher pitched scream.
|
| |
hranica's high scream is the most annoying shit ever
This x10000000. I hate that scream, but his lows have really improved over time so I'll give him credit for that. Song is pretty solid.
|
| |
I personally think Mike's vocals are 100000x better than Bannon's, which are just atrocious. He writes pretty damn good lyrics, though.
|
| |
Judging by the comments, not even pausing The Contortionist for this. I watched them go from playing shows in my hometown of like 100 people, and they ruled. It's like the bigger they got, the worse they got. Hated everything with a passion except Patterns and Dear Love.
|
| |
great song, another step in the right direction for this band
|
| |
so their live shows have less energy, as for them regressing, nonsense.
|
| |
Why are Jacob Bannon and the guy from TDWP being compared?
|
| |
I've dabbled in the Zombie EP and nothing properly grabbed me but this...
This is awesome
|
| |
"Why are Jacob Bannon and the guy from TDWP being compared?"
^ exactly my thought
This isn't too bad, but it's still pretty generic/nothing special. Glad to see that they're progressing more.
|
| |
"Hated everything with a passion except Patterns and Dear Love."
Dear Love was basically just Patterns re-recorded plus a few new songs.
"Why are Jacob Bannon and the guy from TDWP being compared?"
I thought I made it clear...They are both vocalists with what I consider to be "harsh" screams. Never said they were that similar or anything. Does it really matter, though? Who cares if I compare them?
|
| |
never been a fan, but the vocals are significantly better now
|
| |
The Djent wears prada
|
| |
It's awesome to see how they've progressed, really digging this song.
|
| |
Enough with the fucking djent.
|
| |
Glad to see these guys got the hint that the Zombie EP was the direction this band should have stuck to in the beginning. Also the vocals are a grower and the song is pretty decent.
|
| |
shit, today is like christmas morning for the mallcore kids
|
| |
Chorus is very Still Remains-y. Or It Dies Today.
|
| |
@sattie: lololol
"Hated everything with a passion except Patterns and Dear Love"
you sir need to listen to the Zombie EP asap
|
| |
great live band, everzzz
|
| |
I liked dear love, plagues is still my favorite release, thought WRAaBB was good and Zombie was pretty good
Probably the only person to like plagues the most lol
|
| |
these guys really stepped up
|
| |
I miss Joey Sturgis already, production sounds like a more bland version of him. Proof that he's in no way responsible for the large amounts of suck on a lot of his produced releases.
|
| |
He is dude.
Every Sturgis produced album has the exact same drum tone and terrible auto-tuned vocals.
|
| |
lemme clear my voice for a second....(cough cough)............HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!
|
| |
But, he's not. Zombie EP sounds so much fucking better than this song, it's alive and huge sounding, this is just flat and monotone, although the song is ok.
|
| |
Song is sick.....sorry, doesn't matter what you say about it.
|
| |
breakdowns, synths 'n' chants
SURPRISE
|
| |
Is this actually good? Or is everyone who likes this a fanboy of this band? I used to enjoy this band but...I found better (what I consider better) music, so I stopped.
|
| |
Just listen to it. It'll take 3 mins of your precious time.
|
| |
This wasn't bad, but the vocalist's highs do get annoying.
|
| |
So happy they're working with Adam D. now, even if Zombie EP sounded good.
Really digging the new lows.
|
| |
chorus reminds me of ailds shadows are security. sick song.
|
| |
yea the chorus does sound ripped from aild and some of the guitar work does aswell.
a bit miss may i-ish too, though i cant fucking stand that band
they've definitely progressed since plagues
|
| |
soilworkcore
|
| |
I decided to read every comment before listening...I am genuinely surprised that most people said it's good.
But really, I think they have grown up quite a bit, every release is better than the last, thankfully, and they started pretty bad.
|
| |
don't be a retard. The Zombie EP was great, regardless of your opinion of the band. I hate it when people let their preconceived notions ruin everything.
|
| |
haha wow, Rosa, we said basically the same thing at the same time
|
| |
itt rosaparks being retarded
|
| |
well, people just love to be assholes. especially on the internet. at least people on this site aren't as retarded as the people on LambGoat. They're all a bunch of morons that say the exact same elitist shit. They all act like they hate literally every band ever.
|
| |
don't be a retard. The Zombie EP was great, regardless of your opinion of the band. I hate it
when people let their preconceived notions ruin everything.
that makes no sense at all. i mean shit, they didn't even do anything new on the ep besides track it
and produce it differently.
lol rosa you are precious
|
| |
...didn't do anything new?
|
| |
don't be an idiot
|
| |
likewise
|
| |
i bet you play a shitton of mass effect
|
| |
+4 renegade
|
| |
lol
|
| |
*renegade interrupt*
*kicks ire out window*
|
| |
@TechieCore
If you think they have progressively gotten worse, something is wrong with you. After listening to their newer stuff I can't stand their old stuff. And I liked it originally.
Mike screams from the diaphragm which is super hard (or so I've been told from some harsh vocalists). He's a beast.
|
| |
their old stuff is dead... hooray
|
| |
finally jeremy hit puberty
|
| |
TDWP are teaching kids that it's spelled lose not loose.
|
| |
I'm guessing that's your in the avatar Trebor? being so old, mature and shit
|
| |
^^ It is spelled lose.. not loose.
I'm confused.
|
| |
You're going to lose tomorrow.
Your mom is loose.
Examples of how to use lose/loose
|
| |
The lows at the beginning don't sound like Hranica at all...
|
| |
"i bet you play a shitton of mass effect"
I have honestly never played that game.
|
| |
It's a'ight. A lot lazier than anything on the Zombie EP though.
|
| |
The part where they scream "I've given up, I've given up." around 1:55 in the song sounds distinctly Touche Amore-ish / La Dispute-ish. Caught me off gaurd. Clean vocals still blow. Songs not awful though.
|
| |
"don't be a retard. The Zombie EP was great, regardless of your opinion of the band. I hate it when people let their preconceived notions ruin everything."
Yeah, they're really not that bad of a band. Zombie is a blast to listen to. That fromtheinside guy gave it a 1.5 though, and Plagues and With Roots Above a 2.5 (???)
|
| |
How the fuck can anyone think they did nothing differently on Zombie? It's faster paced, more technical, and has a certain atmosphere. It's far superior to anything else they've done. It's not supposed to be earth shattering. It's a fun listen, plain and simple. Don't expect it to be Jane Doe Pt. 2.
|
| |
On twitter, Hranica said that this song is lighter compared to some of the other stuff. I want to hear the heavy songs now @_@.
|
| |
i dunno, i didn't mind how light it was really.
|
| |
Damn if that's the case, then bring the heavy stuff on!
|
| |
i believe faggot is a derogatory term for a homosexual.
|
| |
rosa was born with a free-pass to say it if u know what i mean
|
| |
This is one of the lighter tracks? Oh, god. Can't wait.
|
| |
gonna bedroom mosh the fuck outta this albumn
|
| |
I quite like the melody in this
I dislike their old material and Zombie was missing something and I think melody was it, really digging this
the chorus is so good but so gay
|
| |
"honestly why would that matter to you at all are you that much of a faggot"
I guess so
|
| |
I can't wait for the album
|
| |
yeah i dig the chorus too
|
| |
Remember when Mike was good at vocals.
|
| |
CHAINSAW BRUTALITY, guys.
|
| |
don't forget the tornado strength.
|
| |
his vocals are too dead for me
sucks he was almost good when i saw them play to like 10 kids, and he was awesome on zombie (note he sucked in all other cases)
|
| |
vocals are alright, and ye the lows sounded better on zombie, more full and dense I guess? These ones sound I guess more airy. Lol the shit I just said makes no sense, but hopefully you catch my point.
|
| |
This band progresses so much each album
|
| |
This was my first metalcore band, and god damn, they keep getting better.
|
| |
They're heading in the right direction.
|
| |
"This band progresses so much each album"
sums up the intelligence of every idiot that has been posting in this thread i think
|
| |
