Hmmm. It doesn't sound too bad but to be honest it feels like they've pigeon-holed themselves with the direction they've taken their music.

this isn't a terrible album. it's really boring with bad vocals, but not terrible: there's a good riff here and there.

I used to be into these guys however, so I will check this out after Uni.

I'm not too big on JFAC, but I will admit that they have one of my favorite vocalists in death metal. And by that I mean everything besides the pig squeals from their early stuff.

I feel like they were heading in a really cool direction with Ruination, but this is pretty generic IMO.

I agree with iamthenightstars. Their vocalist is the best part of the band, the way he uses his lows fast.

Doom may not be the pinnacle of metal, but I find it's a fun listen. I like some songs by these guys though I don't really consider myself a fan. Saw them opening for BTBAM and he said "this is from our new ep ironically titled 'gloom"

I like the ideas on Plastic Idols. I wish the band would take larger steps in their albums though. This has some interesting ideas throughout though.

Wasn't bad. I think that's all this band has ever been though; "Not Bad". Nothing exceptional, but nothing worth complaining about. I think one of there strongest moments was on their first Demo back in '04. 'What We Once Called Home' is one of their best songs, I reckon.

That said, I heard these guys play one of the songs off this EP during the BTBAM tour. It was surprisingly good, I may give this a quick listen to see if they managed to make something that halfway decent. But if it ends up like Genesis, then FUCK.

This is by far the best thing JFAC has done since Doom, that's for sure, I'm actually quite enjoying it.
