Show is horrific. I can't believe I paid money for the first season (to be fair, I bought it for my ex...still...shit was like 35 bucks).

And this really isn't an achievement...really, they cracked the record with their covers of some of pop's most well known songs? Sorta silly to even make any sort of deal out of it.

I think the show is pretty funny. Yes some of the songs are cringy and it hurts to see what is essentially a covers band beat legends (Although I don't like Elvis) but hopefully some of these kids are going to hear the Beatles and other great bands songs on the show and have the world of decent music opened up to them.

Most of them will just listen to whatever TV shoves down their throats but you're always going to have them.

The show has some really funny writing but the music is a terrible auto-tuned mess. If they cooled it on the production the songs might actually be enjoyable. Some of these kids can really sing but they end up sounding like T-Pain.

I feel like people love this show for no damn reason. they butcher every song they sing by over-vocalizing them, they are horrid actors, the writers are extremely stereotypical in how they pick the characters. it's almost as if they felt that this was a good representation of what america is: a highschool with a token black chick, token gay guy that everyone has learned to accept, the "badass" with another side to him, the hispanic person, the preppy, spoiled, white kid, etc. and they all get along just "fine". it's embarrassing to think that people enjoy this and even more embarrassing to know grownups enjoy this show that is directed towards teens and even that teens enjoy this show. it just goes to show how fucking dumb people have gotten, that they actually went out and paid money for something that should never have been on tv, dvd, or cd
