SAW III Soundtrack Details

2006-10-09 by south_of_heaven 11 | 40 Comments
The current reigning champ of all of the horror film franchises - Saw - will have the third and most psychologically intense installment of the series - Saw III hit theaters on October 27th. Fans of the series will be excited to hear that the Saw III Soundtrack (Artists' Addiction Records) will feature twenty tracks from of some of the hardest, bone crushing rock bands on the planet including: Blue October, Slayer, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Ministry, and many others. Brand new exclusive tracks from Static X "No Submission," and Drowning Pool "No More," are stand out songs on the Saw III Soundtrack.

Saw III (Twisted Pictures & Lionsgate) stars Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. Jigsaw has disappeared. With his new apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith), the puppet-master behind the cruel, intricate games that have terrified a community and baffled police has once again eluded capture and vanished. While city detectives scramble to locate him, Doctor Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) and Jeff (Angus Macfayden) are unaware that they are about to become the latest pawns on his vicious chessboard.
Saw star Shawnee Smith makes a cameo singing backup vocals on Hydrovibe's track "Killer Inside" on the Saw III Soundtrack.

"I've am a huge fan of this band Hydrovibe!," commented Shawnee. "Heather St. Marie has a breathtakingly beautiful voice as powerful as my character in the Saw films: Amanda. I'm thrilled our female fan base has a movie and a soundtrack to sink our patent leather stilettos into."

Saw 3? Don't they know when to stop?

Nevertheless, like it was mentioned: decent list for an OST.

I love the Saw movies. It's like a long gory law&order. Nothing wrong with that. Soundtrack looks good as well.

Great tracklist, considering that I have the origianals of all but four of them, and two are exclusives!

Saw should by no means be the reigning champion of anything, much less horror. What happened to that genre that was so promising in the mid-late 60s?!

About time somebody other than me said it. Probably the best quote I ever heard regarding the franchise was "Saw is the poor man's Se7en. Saw II is the poor man's Saw."

We need Rob Zombie to direct more, rather than make music. Saw is getting old very quickly.

Didn't ya'll know that Blue October is so fucking metal, they shit steel?

DUDE.....NOOO! Rob Zombies movies suck. For example 'House Of 1000 Corpses" was terrible. I was so dissapointed when I found out they're remaking the original Halloween and Rob Zombie is directing. I just know he's going to butcher it

Yea Ilu, like Slayer and Mastodon, two bands I know you love to death
But why out of all of Slayer's songs would they pick 'Eyes of the Insane'? I mean, good song and all, don't get me wrong, but if they want to get the message of a serial killer across, may I suggest "Criminally Insane" or "Spill the Blood"?

It's baffling to hear people call Saw better than Saw II. The premise for Saw (first one) was good. The acting was laughably bad. Bad enough that I couldn't even look past it and enjoy the movie.

Saw II wasn't "good" exactly, but it had some good cringe-worthy gore.

I'll see Saw III, just because I can't resist shitty horror.

Yikes, the only thing I agree with is that Zombie should not make music. I find his movies extremely cliche, Devil's Rejects was awful, pointless, and just downright predictable.

Anyone suprised by a Saw III obviously has never watched a horror movie before...ever head of the Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise (best horror franchise there is), or Friday The 13th, or Hellraiser, or Halloween? They all have multiple sequels.

Gotta agree with you there.

Dear Mr. Zombie,

Stop making movies. Thank you.

Notice that most of those sequels weren't, um... good. I mean, sweet evil Jesus, did you see The Howling sequels? Horror sequels are seldom a good idea unless you're George Romero. This Message Edited On 10.10.06

I didn't say they werent good...although I love most of the Nightmare On Elm Street series, even though the dreammaster was extremley cheesy...but it was so cheesy it was ridiculously funny. And so far Saw has been great, but nobody wants to be seen enjoying a horror movie accepted by the mainstream.

To SoH: I agree about the Slayer song, but they aren't going to put any 20 year old songs on a soundtrack like Saw 3. I reckon Catatonic would be a better choice.
Looks like a good s/t. I might get it for the Static X and check out some of the other bands, it will be the first soundtrack I've bought since Dracula 2000. Crap movie, good soundtrack
