@Eko, start with either Define the Great Line or Lost in the Sound of Separation, there's not much difference in accessibility in either of them. they're both much better than They're Only Chasing Safety though.

DTGL would be a better start than LiTSoS.

I like DTGL more that LiTSoS personally, but they're both pretty good, super-psyched for this though! no Aaron will be a step forward I think!

i think TOCS is more accessible than DTGL or LITSOS for people trying to get into underoath, mostly because there's more singing and it's more catchy.

but i started with DTGL, so.

1 - the updates are generally nothing special.
2 - As far as drumming goes.... Daniel > Aaron
3 - I saw them recently and they played two new ones... both of which were fantastic
4 - this should probably be the best UO record to date.

No Daniel is good. If you want other assurance, he did the drums for Colour Revolt's newest release. Not only is the CD awesome but his drums are great as well. And then of course norma jean. I didn't think the two new ones I heard were too conventional.

Oh, I forgot that he was in Norma Jean. They're probably one of the closest (or at least used to be) to Underoath's current sound.

I am so stoked for this, I was glad to see them move on with Aaron just because I preferred Spencer's cleans. Plus the new drummer is just as good if not better.

Two things wrong with that.

1. I am the biggest Underoath fan.

2. Aaron was awesome. I will admit he was whiney at times, but his drumming was part of UO's signature sound and may have been an important piece in the songwriting.

They may still be really good after Aaron, but that does not mean that Aaron was holding them back.
