By the time Woodson was in the Temptations, the group was a shell of its former self. Woodson fronted the Tempts from '84 to '86, '88 to '96. 3/5ths of the group were replacement members by this point, and the group had no major hits after Ruffin/Kendricks/Edwards, over a decade prior.

I'm sorry to Ali-Ollie Woodson for diminishing his impact on the legendary group, but I'm not sure many people realize, the dude had nothing to do with all the hits from the Motown classic era. RIP.
