Jesus, I'm a huge Bob Dylan fan, but let up on the guy: KieranV, go check out Bob Dylan's The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Blonde On Blonde, Blood On the Tracks, and Time Out of Mind.
This is just for a survey, so rather than hunt all these down (these are monumental albums, so it shouldn't be hard, though it may be expensive if you're buying and not downloading), you might as well go pick up the three-disc best of compilation, simply entitled, "Dylan".
Also rent the movie I'm Not There.
Do it! There's a reason the users in this thread were so flabbergasted that you hadn't heard or seen Bob Dylan! He's at least of the five greatest influences in rock!
