Legendary Christian metalcore outfit Zao has released the title of their new album Awake? to be released this spring on Ferret records. Contrary to prior news, the album will be recorded by the same lineup as Zao's previous album, 2006's The Fear Is What Keeps Us Here.
Also released were 4 new track titles:
-1,000,000 Outstretched Arms of Nothing
-The Eyes Behind the Throne
-Human Cattle Masses Marching Forward
-Quiet Passenger Pt. 2
Zao has also stated that they have re-recorded an old B-side song titled "Romance of the Southern Spirit."

Yeah this is old, but still awesome news! Though I'm not really sure why they would name the album Alive? since Zao means alive in Greek and they already have a self-titled album.

good band. didnt care much for their last album, so hopefully the new one is more like The Funeral of God or Parade of Chaos

i loved their last album. getting it done by steve albini was one of the smartest things they ever did. i liked that raw sound he manages to get.
lookin forward to this (and the way better drumming from Gretz) being an extension of that. hopefully not like Funeral of God. way too much clean vocals on that....

zao is one of the few metalcore bands i give a listen to occasionally
i'll at least listen to this. always liked their sound compared to most metalcore bands.
