If it happens, Martin said that would happen at the end of next year. They've also talked about releasing material they recorded during the Viva La Vida sessions, a la Hypnotize and Mesmerize.

Because it takes all of 2 seconds to do, and is interesting information to pass along to people who listen to Coldplay. Why is everyone on the internet so contemptuous?

If possible, it's even more set apart than "Viva La Vida" from their other c.d.'s. 'Prospekt's March' (the song) is amazing, in that its a slow old-Coldplay-esque song that is at the same time nothing like "The Scientist" or "Yellow" or anything...

mmm...just a guess, but i think he meant that the new EP is "interesting information." something tells me everyone he knows that likes coldplay already knows his feelings on the topic.
