Here's to hoping the rest is more like this one
| |
eh boring
| |
idk if that "ripped my face off" like corey taylor said the new album was, but if this is any indication of the album it seems pretty promising Vol. 3 was fun
| |
I wasn't excited at all before, but hearing this I got a little hope.
| |
Sounds like a mess.
| |
Utterly rhythmless, bloodless, never takes off.
| |
i'LL listEN TO IT TOMORROW.
| |
The soloing is pretty bad, but everything else sounds like pretty standard Slipknot. Which means most will despise it, but I LOVE IT! hahaha.
Maggots unite and such
| |
this sounds sick, cant wait for this
| |
i really don't like it at all.
| |
I am always skeptical of Slipknot...I guess I may take a listen to this.
| |
nothing new, but its better than horrible
| |
Ok, just listened to this. It blows pretty bad.
| |
This is laughable.
| |
Fuck i'm even more pumped for this now. Definitely heavier than anything off of Vol 3, which is a definite plus. I've always liked his Iowa vocals more than his Vol 3.
| |
was that a....guitar solo...no that can't be...
| |
I don't know. I've been looking forward to this album with a sort of guilty twang in my heart for quite some time, but this just sounds like a lame attempt at death metal. In my humble opinion, this isn't quite as interesting as some of the stuff on Vol. 3. However, my computer's poor audio quality may have butchered the song as it has done to many others. Although this may have been slightly disheartening, all hope is NOT gone... yet.
| |
Not bad at all. Catchy, but nothing to write home about.
| |
Some pretty good ones too
| |
i wonder if the DJ will have any solos and will Corey rip our faces off with his great rap skills.??This Message Edited On 06.17.08

I wonder if Zach De La Roche will guest appear on the album with his most awesome mic skills.
| |
It's not that bad... but it's nothing we haven't heard before, and that's not only in terms of Slipknot... it just sounds like Slipknot trying out modern death metal.
Needs more groove, and some singing wouldn't hurt.
It'll also be interesting seeing how this fits into their live set seeing as it sounds very little like nu-metal to me.
| |
Slipknot is still around? They suck. Their music sounds like some messy ass shit. And do they still have that Clown that bangs on trash cans and three DJ's. This band is soo cliche
| |
Flyboy, Shawn "Clown" Crahan is actually the mastermind behind Slipknot and is responsible for most of what they do musically and all their artwork and business dealings.
| |
Thanks for clearing that up, but do they really need all of those musicians? I mean the only ones that matter are the guitarist, singer, bassist and drummer.
| |
there were a bunch of solos on vol. 3
Really? shows how much I care about Slipknot...maybe I should listen to that
| |
consider my face intact
| |
"Thanks for clearing that up, but do they really need all of those musicians? I mean the only ones that matter are the guitarist, singer, bassist and drummer."
they had a bassist? AND a singer???
| |
As far as the vocals go, I am glad that Corey still screams. I was afraid he was going to lay down some Stone Sour vocals which would have made me a very sad panda.
| |
consider my face intact
lol
| |
I might have liked this 4 years ago. Not anymore. Although kudos for some blasting in there...
| |
Bleurgh...it's gone
| |
Yeah I found it was gone as well, but I got it from a torrent.
Wasn't really worth the effort in my opinion; Not very good. Hopefully the rest of the album will be better.
| |
Guitar work is good, but Corey Taylor went back to Iowa vocals...
PEOPLE = SHIT!!!This Message Edited On 06.17.08

Its on youtube now...
| |
I kinda like that they went back to Iowa vocals. Other than that I will probably still not get this.
| |
I'm SHOCKED. I actually really dug the track.
| |
Yah the Iowa tone is there but I don't think he'll be screaming like that on the new album. His vocals sounded like shit after Vol. 3 was released. Song is ok...
| |
Meh, it could have been worse.
| |
sincerely a lot better than I expected, but nothing amazing.
| |
Slipknot=NOISE ABORTION.
| |
Better then I thought it would be. Can't wait
| |
Really mediocre.
| |
This is the self-titled track of the album.
| |
it's not bad
sounds like corey taylor's using his iowa era vocals, but with more of a thrash background
| |
what happen to songs like Heretic Anthem and ( s i c)???
| |
I YouTubed this...its a decent enough song but not as good as anything off Vol. 3, it sounds alot like something straight off of Iowa. You can't hear the guitars very well either...prolly just YouTube's poor sound quality but still...
| |
I liked it. Chorus was neat, introductory vocals sucked though.
