I dont have Scream Aim Fire, but I liked his performance on The Poison. I dont think that they would have been better with a new vocalist. If it was right before the album was to be recorded they would have probably scrambled and found some shitty guy

I'm serious though, everytime a person on this site doesn't like Death Metal the others who do like it keep telling them to listen to it. It's the reason I'm slightly put off by the people on here
Also I'm way past the "Nu Metal Phase" I had that from 2003-2005, I like music that is quite special to me, Alter Bridge & Smashing Pumpkins to name a few. BFMV are a metal band, regardless of how heavy they are or how supossedly crap their lyrics are. They have a heavy sound & are the metal some like, don't keep saying "The really heavy metal is the only metal" because we all know it isn't

Death metal owns. Don't let the pushiness of some of the people on this site dissuade you from giving it a chance. It takes time to get into (for many, I know it did for me) and you may come out the other side still not liking it. On the other hand, you may come out the other side wondering how in the hell you missed how amazingly good death metal can be. I know I did.

I was exactly like you when I was also 16. My favorite bands were BFMV, Demon Hunter, and As I lay Dying.
I always had to defend them and get bashed. Don't worry about it, when the time comes, you'll find better metal. Bands like BFMV are just metal for people new to the genre. I didn't immediately like the "Extremely Heavy Death Metal" you speak of, (took me about 2 years), but you might later on.

To be honest, I find this last album to be a poor effort compared to The Poison, which really did have a few quality melodies. Undeniably the lyrics are awful but hey, that's just an opinion..
Thing is, there's so many purist/elitists here who keep shoving what they like down someone elses throat. Who gives a flying donkeyturd what someone else likes or doesn't like, as long as it's them actually liking it (and not peers or whatever pushing them into doing so). Way I see it, you betray your own love for music if you can't respect someone elses.

Why do you care what other people say anyways? Listen to what you want. I just wouldn't go around making naive statements about what rocks and what doesn't. Heavy metal is a grower in most of its subgenre extremities. I was like you when I came to this site and I know how it feels to think that 'people are pushing supposed heavier and better music on me'. But take it from me and probably many other people on this site, there is always better music out there. And BFMV are bottom of the ladder. Who knows, I may grow out of the metal I'm listening to right now (not likely though).

Paramore are the shizznit.
Can't stand Bullet, they try wayyy to hard to be accepted by the metal scene, kinda like BMTH (who, it must be noted, got booed off the stage at Gigantour here in Australia).
Bullet are touring with A7X and Atreyu here, and as much as I hate Atreyu's old stuff even THAT is better than Bullet. And A7X really aren't as bad as you lot make them out to be.
