Curses are Cursed to a Hiatus 2025-02-08 by MarkTheDead | 7 Comments | West Virginia metalcore act Curses have parted ways with its drummer, leaving little to no information about what transpired between them. In their statement, the band requested privacy as they announced the band's seeming dissolution.

Their statement reads:
"Effective immediately, Tyrsson Demarest is no longer associated with Curses. We ask that everyone please respect our privacy regarding this matter.
That being said, due to an untenable situation brought about by personal conflict within the band, we have decided it's best to put Curses on an indefinite hiatus. We will be releasing one final song in the coming weeks.
We'd like to thank everyone for all the time spent, the moments shared, and the memories made together. It really isn't possible to fully express how much this has meant to us over the years.
We will always cherish what you've given us."
This abrupt and ambiguous change leaves fans wondering what led to the decision. It remains unclear whether more details will ever be made public.
