Instrumentally I like this more than I thought I would, but the new 'barking' tone to Chadwick Johnson's vocal delivery vs the softer, more emotive Jake Duzsik-esque vocals of RARE just doesn't compare.

Hopefully the new album has some better offerings than this, the 'Somewhere Nowhere' singles were a mixed bag, too.

i actually quite dig this, really catchy pretty alt-rocky. feels like this would be right at home on an old fifa soundtrack. very commercial though. i'll have to check out their other stuff been meaning to.

I don’t mind the track, it’s a safe catchy song that reminds me of some early 2010s indie stuff. RARE was their peak imo. If they stuck with the hardcore shoegaze angle they might have made more interesting music…oh well.

They abandoned intricate and melancholic shoegaze for this? Rare is their magnum opus and they chose to ditch that style. Smh, I will never get bands who do this. Especially since they built a fanbase that yearns for something other than generic pop rock music.

I kind of don't think anyone should forget that they played hardcore for their first 3 albums and then made fun of the hardcore scene when they left to play shoegaze. Saying it was too easy to play and they were embarrassed to show people their own music because of screamed vocals lmao
