Wish I was more excited about this release considering I love Johan’s guitar playing, but all the songs are run of the mill

Meh. Very average. Solo is nice. These guys have stagnated.

It's alright I guess. Kind of sounds like they're recycling riffs/melodies at this point though. Pretty sure I've heard that chorus melody in one of their songs before lol

at this point I'd rather take the new halo effect over new dt

I mean it's a good song, they know how to make good songs obviously. Unfortunately, I feel like the fatigue is about to set in with this album (for those who didn't feel it already) because of the repetitive and very predictable song structures. felt that was the case on Moment in a lot of spots, they are boxing themselves in with this midtempo chorus-heavy stuff a bit too much. I think it's time to allow the new guys (whoever the fuck they are this time around) to be a part of the songwriting and come in with fresh ideas, cuz as competent and good as this is, it's stale pop metal ultimately as far as songwriting goes, and even this old stan is getting a bit tired of it

I really like the chorus of this song, but that's about it. Not really looking forward to this one based on the singles to be honest, but as a fan will give it its fair chance

Can confirm that the whole record is a step up from Moment. They dialed up the speed and aggression again which makes the songs more gripping
