Sons' new single Sweet Life 2023-08-19 by Antonius | 0 Comments | Long Beach rockers Rival Sons have confirmed details about their upcoming release, Lightbringer. The companion album to Darkfighter which was released in June, will be released on October 20 and is preceded by the single Sweet Life.
Frontman Jay Buchanan has stated that it contains all the elements that Rival Sons is and that it was inspired by his love of mid-sixties rock acts like The Animals, The Kinks, and the bands that he was raised on.
Lightbringer was recorded during the same sessions as Darkfighter with longtime producer Dave Cobb where it originally started out as one album, however as the collection grew larger, it had to be split into two parts.
