There was an interview a while back where Oli said something along the lines of they like releasing singles because they can put them out quicker than whole albums, and they feel like they can experiment more because they don’t have to worry about the cohesion an album necessitates.

I'd suck a fart out of Daryl's ass if it meant another amazing Glassjaw album.

Makes me think of Dear, Diary off of post human. Its fine, but seems more like an exercise in "look guys! We can still go heavy, we just choose not to!"
