New Shade Empire LP, Sept 15th 2023-04-14 by Fernando Alves | 4 Comments | Finland's Shade Empire will be releasing their sixth album, Sunholy, on September 15th via Candlelight Records. The full-length was mixed by Chris Edrich (Leprous, Alcest, Vola) and orchestrations were handled by Francesco Ferrini / Fleshgod Apocalypse. A music video for the first single, 'In Amongst the Woods', can be seen below.

Every metal frontman should have to hold a microphone or something in music videos because nobody knows what to do with their hands lmao
They're always either gyrating and waving around or doing some weird "hip-hop hands" thing and it looks so foolish every time. I'd be guilty of it too, just...give them something to hold onto so they aren't just flailing.

Interested, their previous album was pretty good but fell off with repeated listens. Maybe this one will change that

By god has it been a minute. Imo their last album was great but severely underpromoted so it never quite received Omega Arcane levels of attention.
