I’ll never forget the Christmas my fundie Christian relatives told me they checked this band out thinking it was going to be Christian music and they were just SO offended

Funny thing is there are way heavier Christian bands than these guys.

That is indeed a lamb of god track. I get why Chris Adler left.

"According to vocalist, Randy Blythe, this is their most "pissed off" record to date."

The amount of times groups say this and it doesn't even come close to the statement. That being said, this song was decent. Far from their best but compared to the last album I'll take this any day as opposed to what they did on that. Randy still sounds great after all this time which is always a plus but for them saying their "most pissed off" this is pretty tame/safe sounding track for them.

@emim to be fair the Christian bible is a catalogue of brutality, rape, torture, genocide, slavery, child genital mutilation etc so it's not that surprising really

This isn't too bad, but I don't think I'll ever listen to it again

Solid, their first banger in a long time, last album was extremely boring, hope the new one is at least decent

Could definitely agree with that. LOG is basically radio metal.

This did actually feel more pissed off than their usual output. Good track. I hope they can release a consistent album.

Most "pissed off" record to date for them means "slightly less boring than our last album, but still only a shade or two darker than your local butt-rock station". If this song is any indication, this will probably end up being another 2.5-3.

Randy is actually the nicest dude, he supports local music here big time and is generally just super approachable and down to earth

I haven’t liked anything he’s done in like 15 years but yeah idk nice guy

I read his book. Randy is a complete talentless hack. You’ll find more mental stimulation in MAD magazine.

out of curiosity what was it in his book that made you draw that conclusion? Or was it all just a load of dross?

I really enjoyed his book. I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion he is talentless based off it? Also, it was pretty well written, and also, if he's talentless, how come his band is frequently headline metal festivals?

I agree he's not talentless (in fact a great vocalist) but not sure this is a great argument.

People sit on their computer typing away that a person in a highly reputable band has no talent. That's always rich.

This made me laugh so fucking hard bro OMG! Thank you for that Non! I'm having a super hard time rn so much appreciated!
As far as the song goes I think it's pretty good. I don't know if care to listen again. I have to say I do love everything from As the Palaces Burn through Wrath. They just had something special back then but they do seem to have lost the spark and that's a bummer. I loved this band back then and they put on one hell of a live show the 2 times I saw them. I'll always respect them. Their material after Wrath just didn't give me any feeling. I agree with most of you that they just seem to be going through the motions. No experimentation blah blah fucking blah I need to quit drinking... FUCK

never more

lamb of god on songs on the web site here a lot of hard drum hits on each time they have a new drum player on the CD track it was very good a very good band that does some thing cool every time i hear the CD come out at the store. To listen to good songs to buy them it is some thing else in this life time as i grew up, a lot of hard hitting slapping the strings on the bass and hitting the strings and fret board hard for a good hard hit and riffing, some shredding solos i wish for more of that on a song but it is okay when you are doing metal or some pop type of music to try different kinds of things haha

they're neither thrash nor metalcore, they're about as groove metal as groove metal can be, so idk what OP's on.
