Tommy Lee Quits Rocking?

2007-09-13 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 7 Comments
Following the announcement of Tommy Lee's departure from Motley Crue last night, it's been reported the drummer is set to give up rock music entirely, to focus on his DJing gig.

The New York Post quotes an employee of Club Stereo in New York, where Lee DJed late last month, saying: "he loves it. He's not going to be in a band again. He's totally focused on being a DJ now. He's totally devoted and hasn't talked about anything else."

In a recent interview with Clubplanet.com, Tommy insisted that he was "actually kinda over rock music… If I sit down to write a song, it's definitely gonna have beats…but just the old drum sound or cheesy rock guitars…I'm just like, ugh! I'm just tired of the same-ole."

Tommy Lee makes rash decisions and regrets them soon afterwards.

I think you need to effectively start something to quit it.
