Final Stone Sour Update 2006-05-08 by Shadows | 9 Comments | It's been a good long time since Stone Sour, featuring Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Jim Root, has seen the light of day. But in recent times the band is back together and working harder than ever on the band's sophomore release.
The new album, entitled Come What(ever) May, is slated for an August 22 release on Roadrunner Records. All that remains to be revealed is an exact tracklist and cover art. The band recently completed the shooting of a video for the song 30/30-150 as well solidifying plans for a video shoot for the song Through Glass. Much touring will ensue the new album, as Stone Sour is set to headline the 2006 Family Values Tour alongside Korn and Deftones from July 27-September 20. Stone Sour's own headlining tour for the new album begins June 2.

I just hope they don't try to sound like Slipknot on this record or antything. Their last record was actually pretty good, so I'm excited about this.

I love these guys. A new album!!!!!! This should be great. I also hope they don't sound like slipknot. It has been a long time, this album should be great. At least we get to hear something from them again.
