The definition of Sputcore has definitely been bastardized these days, but fighting that fight is for someone more pedantic than I.

Saw this on bandcamp, will keep an eye on it.

The term Sputcore as I understand it encapsulates stuff like Brand New, Thrice, etc, that's a more classic Sputcore. From 2010 onwards, it expanded to stuff like this or fucking "Cytotoxin" at the trending section.

Bottom line: A lot of the overhyped death metal/black metal albums around here. Most of them are solid enough, but I find them underwhelming and samey most of the time; not worthy of that much praise.
