Haven't really listened to these guys in ages, but that chorus is great.

Actually dig the melodic sections of this song, but for the most part it sounds like ABR by the numbers. Easily their best album artwork however. Dat color pallette.

horrible af

it fuckin sucks
| |
I enjoyed the song, happy to hear no weird "progressive" moments
| |
It's a pretty good song.
| |
Jake said this album is more straightforward than what they've been doing lately. I don't love this song but I agree with bloc, I'm happy they didn't throw some random shit in here.
| |
could have done without the obligatory cliche breakdown
| |
is it a new single or is it the same song theyve been writing since their inception
| |
"titans"
And yeah, stack this against something like "Who Will Guard the Guardians" and it's completely lifeless.
| |
wow did Jaden Smith title that?
| |
is it the same song theyve been writing for the last 40 years
| |
excuse me i already did that
| |
i didnt read the thread i am SO sorry
| |
Next time waste more of your time plz
| |
is it the same song theyve been writing for the last 40 years
| |
is it the same dick I've been sucking for 40 years
| |
They should have called it quits after Thrill Seeker
| |
very funny to see all this hate on this thread but they have a damn consistent positive rating
| |
Hate is pretty much a rule here once a band reaches a certain level of notoriety.
| |
I kept waiting for the song to end I was like surely after the 5th breakdown it's over but nope here's the 6th..
| |
Agreed with Brett.
This band deserves the recognition they get and this song obliterates.
Jesus, those vocals are godly.
| |
Song was pretty by the numbers ABR, not bad but didn't blow me away. Last time I was wowed by them was Rescue & Restore which is their best
| |
Was kind of sad to see the prog fall by the wayside for more traditional metalcore. It’s one of my favorite things about them because it makes them stand out. Nonetheless this is a good song, just not what I was expecting.
| |
lol at suggesting this band did anything prog. Enjoyable track though
| |
When you add salsa, it's always prog
| |
Song did nothing for me, and I've loved some of ABR's past work
| |
Pretty safe first single which is normal for them. I dig it though, Jake sounds incredible.
| |
It's an August Burns Red song; simple as that. It's good. I wish they'd try to inject some new ideas in terms of versatility (like in "Leveler" and "Rescue and Restore"), but 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'.
| |
fun song
| |
Everyone saying this is just ABR as usual clearly don't listen to much ABR. This is by far the most streamlined and straightforward they've sounded since Messengers. This isn't Messengers though, because the songwriting is more refined and balanced. This has a pretty clear repetitive chorus, which ABR songs can have, but they're never this defined. And the vocalist is experimenting with some unusual tonalities for him.
I'm not saying they sound like a completely different band, but all the reactions I've seen to this song have noticed differences in their sound.

this is just ABR
| |
as usual
| |
where is the bass
| |
They've always been pretty consistent in terms of song writing and aesthetic and they're fantastic livebut they're formula is very tried and tested. I will await the full album methinks.
| |
NonApplicable nails it
| |
this is just abr playing a song they are releasing as a single
| |
Did you just delete my comment so you could be the one to say it
| |
i'm a little bored by this tbh
| |
While I dig the return to their roots, this song was boring as hell for me. “Invisible Enemy” player right after and really highlighted how meh this song is. I’ll wait for the full album to completely judge but this didn’t excite me.
| |
I mean, besides Jake experimenting with different vocal styles, this is ABR doing what they do best, and that pushing out solid music without pushing the sonic barriers too far.
| |
Song absolutely rips
| |
hot damn ,what a face melter the rest of the album I’m sure will be even better. ABR always sounds so tight
| |
"I mean, besides Jake experimenting with different vocal styles"
??? He sounds the same as always on this song.
| |
Experimenting like a woke girl experiments with her sexuality by once kissing a girl at a party and putting "bi" in her twitter bio.
| |
GhostB1rd hatin on experimenting with sexuality so much he won't put bi in his sput username *bidum tssh*
| |
B1rb
| |
"what a face melter" lmfao
