Jesus H. Christ can any of you believe that it has been 10 years since The Evolution of Chaos? I sure don't. Hope this won't get stuck in production hell like the new Coroner and Psychotic Waltz albums.

EoC was really solid for a newer thrash album. I expect more quality this time around

there's a common trend in old school tech/prog metal bands having albums in development hell. Atheist has been in the studio since like 2014 now right? and toxik has even gone as far to release like 5 songs but not the full album?

It’s not easy to produce interesting tech (thrash) metal nowadays, so it’s understandable, even expected for the critical acclaimed bands to take their time.

The recent Augury album comes to mind in that respect.

Even the new Mekong Delta album was announced last year for a 2019 release, and half of 2019 has already elapsed.

On another note, Heathen have to find a drummer as well, because Darren Minter stepped down in 2013, with John Dette being mentioned as a possible surrogate in a recent Blabbermouth article.

Didn't know they were still active, it's been so long since The Evolution of Chaos. Great news. Not much too judge by this bit, but sounds like Heathen alright.

^^There were a few informal updates about a new album over the years, in one of them I remember Jason Viebrooks saying that Heathen output is strictly about quality, not quantity.

More tech thrash is always welcome.

Not many bands that still produce good music in this genre, but Heathen has had no misstep so far.
