Jeromes Dream Is Back

2018-08-02 by on suicide watch | 24 Comments
After a 17 year hiatus, legendary Connecticut screamo 3-piece Jeromes Dream have decided to reunite for the first time after a 3 hour long phone conversation between the three of them.

The band had been hinting at new music in the passing months and eventually announced a new LP slated for release in 2018. It will be self-released and an Indiegogo campaign was started to cover funding and exceeded its goal by $5,000.

Snippets of new song demos and rehearsals have been posted to their YouTube channel until the band uploaded a work-in-progress version of a likely new single.

It is unknown currently if the band will go on tour.

Hear the new track, tentatively titled Cut Off here:

He blew them out before they recorded Presents, which is when he switched to that other weird yelling vocal style. Wonder if it’d be like that

weird yelling m/

they did a Instagram live feed a couple months ago and the #1 question asked was "Will Jeff scream?" "What are Jeff's vocals going to be like?" lol

Erik and Nick were like WE DON'T KNOW haha

this should be cool, im guessing there will be some screams unless he tries and just can't do it. but the ambiguity probably means he'll be going for a different vocal style

Why do people want the screams the dude did 20 years ago? Do people not realize that will undoubtedly sound like shit now? At least the megaphone type vox he did on Presents has more utility than that.

because if he can do 75% as well as he did 20 years ago it'd still sound more genuine and desperate than most screamo bands out here rn

This sounds good, but I have no previous knowledge on this band. Guess I'll have to check them out now
