If anything, they should deport him for being from the same country as Chad Kroger...
|
| |
The Canadian population has apologized numerous times for Nickelback.
|
| |
And yet... they continue to haunt us all... At least he's got cool hair... oh wait..
|
| |
Sounds like the band got some free press out of this.
|

publicity..... stunt.... corporate.... rag..... terrible.... band.... hate.... america.

So this news proves your point that unnecessary yet popular contributions will garner much attention from simpletons and be the downfall of Sputnikmusic. Way to think ahead man; I always felt that you were the smartest on the site because you always use sarcasm so well, I mean, it's so minute but it's brilliant and I just love reading your work as well.

I'm confused descendents... What are you talking about?
|
| |
ha ha did anybody else see that video of nickelback getting rocks thrown at them??
that was like a dream come true, god knows that's the only reason I'd ever go to their show.
Yesterday it was the Taliban...today it's Sum 41...gee.

See if I have to explain myself then my sarcasm loses its worth. Cocaine thinks that hyperboleking is destroying the site, and though I agree with him completely, I also think that this kind of news is unnecessary and going against what he made a point of earlier (because it's fluff). This Message Edited On 07.25.07

Only in America, indeed.
|
| |
i think the guy from the rolling stone just wanted to cleanse america of another bad band.
they've definately been on a "let's return to the 60s" vibe lately with those anniversary issues, and a few leading up to those it seems.
|
| |
ok the lyrics are in the past tense, how can he be making a threat? surely it would have to be in the future tense? or at least the future perfect? Another thing, freedom of speech/the press? (anyone who makes the point that S41 are not the press is excedingly intelligent, i am referring to the ability to criticise a head of state, which is an important part of the liberty of the press)This Message Edited On 07.25.07

These days you have the right to say what you want, until someone with authority gets offended. Lame.
|
| |
^^^ True dat. People with too much power are usually the ones who shouldn't possess it.
|
| |
If anything, Sum 41 should be deported for just not being that good of a band. This is obviously a publicity stunt to help aid the fact that they just put out a very mediocre album.
|
| |
How are those lyrics metaphorical in any way?
|
| |
This has to just be an attempt to garner attention. Chuck was probably more political than this anyways.
|
| |
La Revo, you can't expect Mr. Whibley to actually understand what they are, can you?

Lmao@"Only in America."
I know it is fun to be a rebel, but if you really think that you're no smarter than he is. He wasn't actually deported. Just dumb publicity.
The song is garbage, anyways. Real disappointment.

I thought the Rolling stone disliked Bush......
|
| |
Face, meet palm.
|
| |
They should be deported after releasing this new album.
|
| |
If Rolling Stone hates Mr. Bush, then why did they bother adressing the lyrics as a threat to the president? This Message Edited On 07.25.07

because it's possible to hate someone without wishing death on them?
something many "lol, rebels" forget.
|
| |
it's also possible for writers to have differing political leanings. but i ono.
