Best single so far.
| |
Yeah this makes me seriously excited for the album.
| |
Best of the three, but this album sounds like it’s going to be the literal definition of ‘average’.
| |
easily the best of the three, solid track, so excited for the full album
| |
Cleaner production on these guys will always bother me. Love it when Ben yells "Let the sky down!"
| |
yeah this was solid
| |
Not bad, but I'm not getting hyped.
| |
DIARY OF JAAANE!!
| |
This ruled so much, and is probably going to become one of my favorite songs by this band
| |
Really liking this. Not quite stuck in my head yet like “Red Cold River” but I can see it getting there.
| |
What is up with the production on this one? Guitars are so loud in the mix that they’re overpowering the vocals, especially during the chorus. At the same time, it feels thin and doesn’t have much punch.
I love BB but this is going to be their weakest album, sorry guys.
| |
This is competently done. First of the songs released that's worth something tbh.
| |
Definitely doesn't seem like it will be their weakest album.
| |
As a fan of the heavier moments of Dear Agony I'm starting to like the idea of this album. I think the short lengths could make it work. Also I'm now realising the soft spot I have for Ben's way of using harsh vocals for the choruses

i noticed this on the first two singles as well... eh.... ppsshh. i dunno man.
| |
Yup. That was pretty average. The song was exactly what I expected it to be.
| |
Fun song.
| |
"I like This band but I don’t understand why they get a pass from so many on this site, when other mainstream Hard rock bands get constantly shat on. These new songs are probably the most uninspired they’ve ever come out with honestly.
Dark before dawn was ripped apart and it had some amazing tracks on it but then randomly these new songs are considered better."
I'll just assume that you don't read, because most of the reception has been that the new singles aren't that great
That said, this song has a Phobia feel to it and is definitely the best single so far
| |
Eh, still nothing too special
| |
Yeah, BB have pretty much been releasing the same record over-and-over again since Phobia. This isn't gonna change much.
| |
Sounds like pretty standard BB song.
| |
How has this band has been unable to make any change in sound?
| |
Ain't broke no fix
| |
*sigh*
I guess
| |
onr of thr most experimental groups ever
| |
Experimental tag on BB. Make it happen
| |
I really like this one. I didn't like much of anything from their last album but so far I dig everything they've put out for this one. Thinking this will be my favorite since Phobia.
| |
lol you’re not that special bro
| |
The riffs are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jams will go over a typical listener's head.
| |
"I saw 90 % of people saying these songs were solid and they’re hyped for release. That’s hardly the same as saying the singles aren’t great."
Youtube comments aren't a very good source you know
| |
everyone go submit the experimental tag on the bb page only 2 so far have done it
| |
This is just bad.
| |
Nice to hear them back to their heavier roots. Ben seems to have let go of some of that toxic ego he's seemed to have all these years, and it shows. You can really tell the new guys had serious imput this time around. Album should turn out excellent, at least a hell of a lot better than DBD
| |
This song was pretty good.
And to the person who doesn't understand why Breaking Benjamin is somewhat tolerated compared to other bands like them it's simple - they are just the best at being average. Their shit catchy as hell and competently made.
That new three days grace crap is cringe as fuck, for comparison.
| |
They never used to be though, their first 4 albums are legit
| |
Used to prefer TDG over BB by a long shot before they went complete shit with Human. I admit though that BB have a bit more of a recognizability due to the vocals.
| |
cmon people vote bb in for the experimental tag on their main page. Also hilariously someone voted them 'Jazz fusion' on there.
| |

I'm not sure calling BB "average" is exactly right. Yes, they're rock radio favorites, but I don't equate being well-liked with being average. Though it's difficult to put my finger on it, there's something else going on with their music than just being "the best at average" that explains their longevity and popularity despite lineup changes and a long hiatus in a maligned genre well out of its heyday. They've tapped into something that is legitimate and resonates with people, and can't be just written off as "catchy as hell and competently made" -- all popular music can be described as such.

Tresm I've noticed that you usually just complain in every post
And it must say something about you if I'm another "leech" come to oppose your views lmao
