I like this band
| |
great song, as much as i love the style on roots, the newer direction is great.
showed this to my girlfriend and she goes "no offense but they should just have aaron turner sing" lmao
| |
this is p cool
| |
I don't like Grind in general, but these guys made it good for me.
| |
fuckin TURNER GODDAMN
| |
rules
| |
The dual vocals on this are ridiculous
| |
For fuck's sake, Kurt Ballou is fucking inescapable
Can somebody just kill him already
| |
I'm sick and fucking tired of every new song sounding like this
Black Breath, Darkest Hour, Magrudergind and now this
Most fucking obnoxious one-trick producer in the business
| |
Barring Turner's contribution, this is pretty weak
| |
This band is so good.
| |
Yeah I seriously cant get into this at all tbh. Shits boring
| |
honestly this only hits me cuz it's well-done, other than that...
| |
Ballou's production on this is more tolerable than on most of the shit he's been mangling lately but that's not saying much
| |
Finally. I thought I was losing my fucking mind
| |
bet it wouldn't had been a problem for some people if they didn't knew he worked all those records
| |
Saying Ballou is a one-trick producer is kind of dumb when you remember he's produced other things like Beastmilk, Young Widows and Gospel, all which have completely different production styles than the other bands mentioned. And of course he produces loud and heavy albums loud and heavy, the fact that he manages to do it while making the music clear and audible is an impressive feat.
| |
When it comes to metal, he's been doing almost exactly the same shit for six years now. It's become incredibly stale.
Also, Wolfe, his style is instantly recognizable to me. I imagine anyone who's heard more than 2-3 of his albums would pick it up immediately.
| |
you're not wrong zip but I didn't hear his fingerprints on this too much tbh
| |
The track sounds fine, pretty excited to hear the album. Full of Hell is one of the most consistent hardcore bands out there right now imo
| |
Oh yea and Turner rips on this
| |
It's all in the guitar tone.
| |
that was a bit underwhelming tbh
| |
I dont have a problem with Kurt's production style but i am getting tired of his presence saturating the metal scene, its getting repetitive. Stoked for this regardless.
| |
Decent.
| |
Song rules, production is cool
| |
rips
| |
If Kurt is a one-trick pony, his one trick is to make bands sound great. Pretty good trick, imo.
| |
saw them live this year. they put on a decent show but they didn't really market this at all
| |
in the show or in general? in general they did enough to reach their fanbase.
| |
in the show.
To be honest I'd never listened to them before (I was there for Immolation). But they basically walked on, played their set, and left. I don't remember them even mentioning a new album or anything, which was strange in hindsight, especially being in their home state.
That being said, I like this song more than what I heard live.
| |
lol they did mention in the article above that Immo fans were waiting for the main course. the band does play a healthy amount of their backcatalogue so they're likely not too concerned on advertising rather than shredding faces.
| |
haha yeah that's fair.`
| |
Yeah if you don't know what they're about seeing this band live is a pretty strange and alienating experience. It's kind of hilarious to look around the room at all the confused people
| |
@botb I saw the Body open for Alcest. I have never seen a more confused and horrified crowd. People were standing there with frowns and their hands over their ears
| |
lol I love seeing both of them live for those same reasons and experience
| |
I saw The Body open for Alcest this year and had never even heard of them. They were fucking great though haha
| |
this... grinds my gears
| |
You'd think Alcest fans would be appreciative of metal of all persuasions but I guess not
| |
@EphermalEternity Yeah, right? I had seen The Body on their collab tour w/Full of Hell prior (but never as a standalone band) so I already knew what to expect. Personally, I love it w/bands within different subgenres tour together. Makes for more interesting dynamics in sound throughout the show as a whole I think.
| |
@robotmagician that is hilarious. That kind of thing is so funny to me
| |
"To be honest I'd never listened to them before (I was there for Immolation)"
I would probably cry if I got to see FoH and Immo on the same night. FoH is still my favorite band I've ever seen live. Kinda biased cause it was an extremely personal experience, but still. Their presence was unbelievable.
| |
I saw Melt-Banana with Napalm Death and everyone was really confused expect one guy in front of me who was a Melt-Banana superfan. He kept whipping me in the face with his hair.
| |
I'm sick and fucking tired of every new song sounding like this
Black Breath, Darkest Hour, Magrudergind and now this [2]
besides this feel of oversaturation, it's p decent.
| |
This is fucking powerful, like that ending is just crushing.
| |
