Braveyoung's Misery and Pride

2017-03-24 by zaruyache | 11 Comments
California minimalist post-rockers Braveyoung have begun streaming their long-delayed second full-length album, "Misery and Pride", through Bandcamp.

Originally meant to closely follow the April release of their 2015 EP "No Peace In This Mind", the record was unforeseeably delayed after member Isaac Jones suffered a severe head injury in a traffic accident which resulted in the temporary removal of part of his skull.

As before, the band's newest outing continues to toe the lines between post-rock, ambient, and modern classical music, tracing its influences to minimalist composers such as Terry Riley and Arvo Pärt.

A more detailed piece concerning the time leading up to the release of the album, Jones' accident and recovery can be read courtesy of Daily.Bandcamp, and the album can be streamed both via the article as well as directly through the Bandcamp page for The Flenser.
