The problem with this track, as well as most Incubus in the past ten years, isn't that it's bad; it's more that it's just not worth giving a shit about.
| |
Doesn't sound like Incubus.
| |
Lol, what a creative album title. Ranks right up there with Th1rt3en by Megadeth and all of Peter Gabriel and Led Zeppelin's self-titled albums
| |
Whatever happened to trust fall side b?
| |
better than anything on their previous album i'll give it that. sounds like it could be on light grenades. i'll take it
"Whatever happened to trust fall side b?"
this is basically what trust fall side b turned into
| |
Band I gave up on a long time ago continues to unimpress. Neat
Even though the chorus is sort of lame to me and I don't want this sound from them this is better than anything I've heard from these guys in a minute
| |
better than anything they've put out from their last album
i think i'll just stick to s.c.i.e.n.c.e. and make yourself
| |
holy shit that was bad
| |
Even though this wasn't very impressive, I'm still intrigued. Bands like Incubus, they often release singles vastly inferior to the album itself. Though I gotta agree that the album name does not give me much assurance. We'll see.
| |
It's decent. Not a borefest like If Not Now was. Still kinda forgettable
| |
wow, that sounded tired and sad
| |
Song's pretty good. Glad they gave up on the sound of their last album. This is more like their ACLOTM/Light Grenades stuff.
Never trust a band if they claim their next album is a "return to roots".
| |
Good song
| |
Kinda sounds like a Nothing More song, especially his vocals
| |
"Never trust a band if they claim their next album is a 'return to roots'."
words to live by
| |
How can this be the same band that did Science?
| |
Makes more sense than comparing science to anything on INNW that's for sure
| |
they could've hired a better brandon boyd impersonator imo
| |
most of INNW was better than this shite to be honest
| |
To be fair you actually liked that album
| |
Ewww, what is that chorus? I was okay with it up until that.
| |
It's like they obtained that ACLOTM-era sound for the first 30 seconds (which I was completely fine with) until the chorus came and all energy/hope was lost.
| |
didn't honestly think the chorus was that bad. it's very poppy but it's not that far a cry from the stuff on light grenades. it's nothing phenomenal but i don't see what's so awful about it
| |
I really don't like lyric videos.
@onionbubs don't tell Rowan what he likes and doesn't like please
| |
that wasn't supposed to be an attack although i can see how it could be read that way. i was just pointing out that he was a fan of their latest album. if you liked the direction of that record this will probably be a step down. if you didn't like it, this will be a step up because it has some more life in it which was people's biggest complaint with the last one.
| |
It's good. Not great, it's good.
| |
Not feeling it
| |
Song rocks my socks
| |
forgettable , but not horrible.
they can do way better though. RIP old incubus for sure
| |
it's really not that bad at all, however will concede it doesn't sound much like Incubus, in fact if I wasn't aware this was an Incubus track, I'd think it was a Jimmy Eat World track
| |
Jimmy Eat World? What drugs are you people on? This sounds like Incubus even if you dislike it.
| |
Agreed. Song may not be amazing or anything, but this does sound like Crow/Grenades era Incubus.
| |
I was feeling the verses but that chorus gots ta go. Shit throws off everything.
| |
meh. how is it that jimmy eat world are supporting them and not the other way around? i know jimmy only had 1 major hit but did incubus really sustain mainstream buzz for much longer? what was their "the middle"?
| |
"Drive"
| |
"Megalomaniac" played a lot on Fuse back when. I don't know. I adore both bands, though.
| |
Around 3/5
| |
When did the singer turn into the Singer from Alter Bridge?
| |
Alter Bridge... I see the drugs are still being passed around.
| |
It's good. Not great, it's good. [2]
| |
They evolved better than sugar ray though...
| |
They don't sound into the song at all
| |
eh, its alright, definitely better than that linkin park track
| |
"meh. how is it that jimmy eat world are supporting them and not the other way around? i know jimmy only had 1 major hit but did incubus really sustain mainstream buzz for much longer? what was their "the middle"?"
Incubus is considerably bigger. Especially when you get out of the US, they have had way more success abroad.
But even when you just look at the US, it's pretty clear they are/were bigger. JEW's highest US albums sold peaks are 5 and 6, while Incubus has had three albums peak at #2 and one hit #1. (even Incubus' last album, which most of us consider crap, peaked at #2) Incubus has had four songs hit #1 on US alt chart to Jimmy Eat World's two.
Longetivity-wise Incubus' albums have also sold wayyy more after the initial chart period, if you look at how many gold/plat albums the two bands have it's not even a little close.
Not that I'm hating on Jimmy Eat World, just saying this is wrong.
| |
More like stinkubus lololololll
| |
new song is kinda eh. don't love or hate it
