The Republic of Wolves release 'Birdless Cage' 2017-02-02 by Sowing STAFF | 10 Comments | Long Island indie-rockers The Republic of Wolves have released another new song, titled 'Birdless Cage', from their upcoming third LP. The track, a submission to NPR's Tiny Desk Contest, is an acoustic version of what will actually end up on the studio recording (which will feature electric guitars and a full band).
The contest version of 'Birdless Cage' is a soulful, rhythmic re-imagining underscored by subtle strings and beautiful vocal harmonies. Listen to the track below, and if you like it, be sure to comment on the video and let them know!

The winner of NPR's Tiny Desk Contest will have the opportunity to play a Tiny Desk concert at NPR in Washington, D.C., appear at a taping of NPR’s Ask Me Another, and tour the U.S. with NPR and Lagunitas. You can read more about the contest here:
