yes, yes, YES!
First the new Vicious Rumors, then the new Helstar, and now this album...
This is shaping up to be a great year for US old school heavy metal.

I have really high hopes for this.

I remember liking the demo you linked me, Voivod. I'll put this into my to-check list for the year. Seventh Seal is a great track

Just finished my first listen and I'm not impressed, to say the least. Maybe it's the fact that the last few days I've been jamming a lot of epic stuff (Manilla Road, Omen, Candlemass, etc.) so I got used to incredible music. But I'm really interested in reading your opinion.

@Sabrutin
The album contains the demo plus new material, plus some additional sound tweaking that wasn't necessary imho, as the demo already had superb sound.
@manosg
Sumerlands sound different from the mentioned outfits, whereas the sound of the album is not typical '80s metal.

For sure, I wasn't expecting to listen something similar to Omen etc. But as an experience, the album bored me a bit; it's not as exciting as their debut. Very good point regarding the unnecessary sound tweaking too.

I honestly don't remember much of the demo, except that I did like it. If the LP's first track is of any indication, I believe I'm going to dig it.
"Manilla Road"
^ Reminds me that I still haven't listened to the 2LP of Voyager that I've been gifted recently. Any thoughts on that one?

Haven't jammed it yet Sab but interesting choice for a gift.

i'm quite enjoying this

I'm not entirely sure about this one honestly. Some questionable mixing choices too

Listened to the album six times in two days, and I must say it has finally exploded in me.
Even the additional sound engineering seems a petty affair.
