"What the hell is up with those lyrics?"

You haven't listened to Epica before have you?

I have really mixed feelings about this. The orchestral elements and the production sound really flat but Simmone and the guitar work are great. Idk, we'll see how the rest plays out.

i'm liking this song tbh, it's more metal than previous singles, and the orchestral touches sound cheesy but i like it idk

That was actually one of my favourite parts, it was crisp and crunchy without sounding too tinny and generic for me...

The opening riff kinda sounds like Dream Theater's "These Walls"...

Meh song. Lyrics are pretty lame, but the rest is OK. Ive never been big on Epica, tbh.

I have quite a bit actually and I always knew how cheesy and preachy the lyrics were, but this is a whole new level of cheese, I actually cringed. Shame cos the rest of the song is decent. I like the guitar tone.

yes, the lyrics on this are quite bad, but hey, it's the same ol' Epica. The last lyrics of theirs I remember liking was from Chemical Insomnia.
