Brickwalling is the only excuse really, but even then fan remasters are out there like there is for Californication. I know at the end of the day it's all $$$$$ but they could at least make it more convincing.

That remaster has WAY too much clipping, and the guitars sound subdued now under the louder mix didn't enjoy it anywhere nearly as much as the original.

I heard more layers than on the original like the background vocals were clearer and I thought the bass was more consistently audible... Idk maybe I got over excited lol revisiting this album takes me all the way back to 7th grade

It increased vocal quality while sacrificing just about everything else in the mix.

Though it sold the most, this wasn't their best record. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge takes the cake for that one.

Black Parade wasn't bad, but had songs that had way too much pop appeal. I always skipped I Don't Love You, Cancer, and Teenagers. That's just me though. Three Cheers was more raw to me.

In terms of the actual news here, the only time I listen to this album is when I'm a couple too many tinnies in during the sesh and someone puts on Famous Last Words so a remaster doesn't exactly excite me

Back when I first started on this site I expressed this opinion and raised the ire of a lot of wankers who followed this piece of shit band.
MCR saved my life... when they broke up because I was struggling to live in a world that they could put out such a steaming turd (Danger Days) and still have fans.

If anything needs remaster it would be their first album. Or at least the few good songs from it(tbh Demolition Lovers is the shit and beside few songs and the production the album isn't really bad)
