id take some stahli vocal synthwave over whatever the hell The Devil was supposed to be.
|
| |
That was fucking lit
Better than anything off Devil
|
| |
Ehhh, seems like he's hopping on the synthwave trend now. Pretty bland track tbh
|
| |
Genres Electronic rock, industrial metal, alternative metal, drum and bass, electro-industrial, electronica
lol bye
|
| |
He can pull off synthwave really well though from what I just heard.
|
| |
industrial metal is a fundamentally bad genre so it doesn't matter
|
| |
nah this track is pretty generic for synthwave standards, need to jazz it up with some vocals perhaps./
|
| |
"Industrial metal is a fundamentally bad genre"
Woah what
On what grounds?
|
| |
well if your genre-popularizing demigods (rammstein) can't make music that is neither intolerable nor insufferable then you've done something wrong
|
| |
"industrial metal is a fundamentally bad genre so it doesn't matter"
What? Ministry's early stuff rules though. And Godflesh exists who are pretty cool from what I've heard, not all Industrial metal is Ramstein and Rob Zombie lol
|
| |
"well if your genre-popularizing demigods (rammstein) can't make music that is neither intolerable nor insufferable then you've done something wrong"
I don't particularly like Rammstein either bar like two songs, have you jammed shit like Celldweller?
|
| |
As someone who likes almost every style of metal and extreme music possible, industrial of any variety kinda does suck (with very few exceptions).
|
| |
celldweller has only had a total of one and a half good albums
|
| |
Celldweller has two excellent albums (self titled and End of an Empire), one great album (Wish upon a Blackstar), and two good albums (the voices soundtracks)
|
| |
Snide check Ministry - Pslam 69 please
|
| |
Psalm 69 has like 2 or 3 good songs. The only band I can say I liked consistently in the industrial world was maybe Red Harvest. Godflesh and Skinny Puppy got things right a few times too. The genre just sounds musically goofy and cheesy 99% of the time - industrial sounds like The Matrix looks. I can get behind some of the common lyrical themes running through industrial, but I just get get down with it as a whole.
|
| |
I really dig this
|
| |
I like most of Psalm 69, but the last 2 tracks are a bit boring.
|
| |
'celldweller has only had a total of one and a half good albums'
I disagree, but that 'one' good album at least better be the self-titled sir
|
| |
nah its end of an empire and half of s/t
|
| |
Eh.
I mean... I love EOAE... but s/t.. C'mon man
|
| |
"As someone who likes almost every style of metal and extreme music possible, industrial of any variety kinda does suck (with very few exceptions)."
That's a pretty stupid generalization of one of the most influential underground music genres. Check out Throbbing Gristle, Nurse With Wound, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Coil.
Also, half a thread on industrial metal and not one mention of Strapping Young Lad or early Fear Factory. Wtf.
|
| |
Also this song painfully medicore in comparison to like everything else in this trend.
|
| |
Coil and Throbbing Gristle aren't Industrial metal though... they're just industrial
|
| |
Yeah I was talking about two separate things dude. That's why I said "also."
|
| |
I have checked out all of those bands, I have lists with those bands on them - I just don't like them. Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory had some great records, but the metal heavily outweighed the corny industrial parts. Industrial is alright if used sparingly - Aborym did a good job with that from time to time, and Anaal Nathrakh too.
|
| |
I don't think I've ever listened to Coil, are they lit?
|
| |
ehh... average. I missed the stuffs from the self titled LP.
