lmao wow
| |
We are....not impressed
| |
This is pretty bad.
| |
It's quite the clusterfuck of musicians tbh. Joey who's known for nu metal more than anything; Attila and Heimoth who are both established black metal musicians; Sean who's known for death and groove metal and a powermetal bassist playing guitar.
Hands up who saw this coming? Anyway I don't think its that bad. It's pretty basic entry-level black metal but if this goes past one album and they give Heimoth, Attila and whoever the other guitarist is more chance to write material then this could be good.
| |
what a shame
| |
Well black metal fans were never gonna like it because of Joey and Fred. If this thing attracts other metal fans to black metal and the more challenging artists in the genre, then it'll be a success because it'll bridge that gap
| |
Hey another one. Someone should make one of those youtube compilation videos of every song that sings about "We are (something dark/evil/mysterious/etc)."
| |
Wow, that's some next level cancer right there.
| |
Average but I don't hate it, seems like they have potential tbh and I'm interested in hearing the rest of the album. The verse and bridge riffs are pretty cool.
| |
It was OK for about two minutes, but I clicked away to look something up, realized I was still listening to this, clicked back and was only 2:30 into the song. It felt a lot longer than that. And there's no reason for Attila to be here if the production isn't raw enough to create an atmosphere to actually make his voice sound threatening. Here it just sounds bad.
| |
Lol this is fucking terrible.
| |
it's alright
that CHAOOOOOOOOOOOOS in the background is so annoying though
| |
Pretty decent. That's a bizarre lineup of musicians, though.
| |
Satyricon at their worst are a much better version of the sound this group is trying to achieve.
| |
I really dislike Satyricon so I'd have to disagree with you. At the very least Zatorsky's vocals are x10 better than Satyr's now.
| |
Joey. Just go back to slipknot. There's no way he actually thinks this is good, right?
| |
as long as he thinks it's fun to jam, it doesn't really matter at all. Of all the guys involved, he's the one who seriously doesn't need the paycheck at all.
| |
This is really catchy and could be a great entry level band for this who want to get into black metal.
| |
I quite like it to be honest. Just a better version of the shit Satyricon puts out these days.
| |
Better names all round. Scar the martyr was hands down the worst band name ever
| |
Yeah I'm not discarding this after one song. If Attila and Heimoth liked it enough to be a part of it then some of the tracks on the album have to be worth listening to. They're highly respected black metal musicians so I don't think they'd take the risk of working with "mainstream" musicians if they didn't think it was good.
| |
I don't get why superbands always put out the most generic sounding music.
| |
How do you scar a martyr when they are already dead? Do you dig up the corpse and put a fucking scar on it?
| |
I'm surprised people are even entertaining this. It was so bad I get second hand embarrassment for them.
| |
still better than the skillet single
| |
Song is absolute shit. Easily one of the worst singles of the year IMO.
| |
well i had a chuckle at least.
| |
lol
| |
average? harmless? extreme?
not a chance
| |
I didn't hate it. It probably isn't very good, but just about anything would feel like an improvement over that VIMIC stuff.
| |
I just realised the riff reminds me of a black/death metal version of that Green Day song that goes "DO YOU KNOW YOUR ENEMY" or whatever it's called.
Oh and the second guitarist is Stephane from Loudblast, or so I'm told.
| |
This is the most stereotypical metal bullshit I've ever heard
| |
Uh... No thanks.
| |
Wow what a shit lyrics, nothing special here.

Huh so turns out that backing vocalists on Army Of Chaos were Schmier (from Destruction), and Sigh's Dr Mikannibal and Mirai Kawashima.
