Blowfly passes away 2016-01-18 by discovolante | 16 Comments | Clarence Henry Reid, better known to the rest of the world as Blowfly, passed away January 17th from terminal liver cancer.

In the early 1970's, Reid's Blowfly persona broke down many different barriers, and was one of the first African American comedy acts to write and perform about extremely risque and graphic sexual themes. His musical style also is considered to be highly influential in the field of hip hop, as Blowfly's music was one of the first to also use consistent rhyming as well.
Clarence Reid was 76 years old.
