New Ben Lee Album 2007-06-07 by samthebassman | 2 Comments | Ben Lee will release his latest album Ripe in September.
The 12-track release features a duet with Mandy Moore, and guest appearances from Benji Madden of Good Charlotte and legendary keyboardist Benmont Tench, who recently contributed to two tracks on Powderfinger's new album.
Lee worked with producer John Alagia on the album, narrowing the songs down from a pool of 80 he wrote since 2005's Awake is the New Sleep.
A documentary tracing Lee's career is to be released in 2008, featuring interviews with everyone from ex-girlfriend Claire Danes to Winona Ryder, Liz Phair and Thurston Moore.
Lee is making a return to the stage at One Earth, the Conservation Tribute Concert to his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on June 15 at the Domain.
