Still kind of boring imo. My hype for this one is officially gone.

I'd be lying if I said I was impressed (though the inner BB fanboy within me is practically masturbating to this) but I like both of them. Maybe not their best material overall but I can certainly jam to these

I neither like nor dislike the new songs. Just wish this band would go back to how it sounded on Saturate.

I actually really enjoyed the first song released, 'Failure', but I have to say I'm rather disappointed with these two songs. I was looking for a bit more diversity I guess. Oh well.

Compared to the first single, I think those 2 are pretty good

I actually really like the riff for 'Defeated'. I'll definitely buy the album, cause it's BB and I've been waiting six years for something new. But honestly, the vocals so far are painfully predictable. They aren't bad, far from it actually. But they have no surprise factor and actually suffer from the fact that they sound really similar to other melody paths previously used. I'm really hoping that the other 9 songs have something more to offer or this record won't be a stand alone like the other 4 albums.

this is literally just breaking benjamin... but i guess this band will never be famous for innovation

BTW , No growls on all the 3 tracks ... Something related to Ben 's health issues ?

I'm glad the player on the site doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried it in Chrome and IE with no luck.

I think I found Angels Fall on YouTube, at least. Good song, very Breaking Benjamin, for better or worse. These new songs just have to be proof that Ben Burnley was pretty much doing all of the songwriting for this band, they replaced everyone else and sound exactly the same.

Considering it's been like 5-6 years since we've last heard new music from these guys, and that I love this band to bits, I'm OK with an album that doesn't try to break the mold. I happen to really like this mold. :-)

Yeah, it looks like there is not going to be a lot of change. Don't mind "Angels Fall." "Defeated" feels like a We Are Not Alone b-side and fillerish. Not cringe worthy but skippable.

Hard to get over how vague the lyrics are all the time in a ridiculously adolescent way. But they're alright. "So Cold"'s a jam tho.

Both songs are kind of boring. Even with the new band members, Breaking Benjamin's sound does not sound like it has evolved AT ALL since Dear Agony. I'll listen to the new album when it comes out but my expectations are low.

"Haven't listened to these guys since I was like 14, and didn't even like them then"

Same here. Typically atrocious post-grunge and I don't understand why a few actual music fans don't hate them like they do most other bands of the genre. To each their own tho

"So Cold" is maybe their best song - it changes tempos, has quieter moments as some harder, great melodies, etc.. on of the best songs when it comes to mainstream metal/rock/grunge bands.. some other songs from their first 3 albums are good too, even Dear Agony has some cool moments, but this new songs are really, really boring..

This sounds like Dear Agony 2.0 with some Phobia thrown in... which is why this could become my new favorite. Considering the love I have for this band, this will probably be a 4 for me if all the other tracks will be on the same level as these. Both "Angels Fall" and "Defeated" are jams.
