Meh.
| |
Boring =(
| |
yaaay more manson
| |
Not bad. I think it will make more sense in the album's track list.

When I heard he was going for a more "blues-y style" I was intrigued, but this was pretty drab.
| |
surprising, this was alright
| |
Damn, this was quite dull.
| |
I liked it. Reminds me of Eat Me, Drink me.
I think he needs to make music with John 5 again
| |
I like the style he's going for here.. I'll reserve judgement until I hear the rest of the album.
| |
Yeah, John 5 would bring him back to life. After all, he is the one who keeps Zombie alive these days.
| |
Not bad, hopefully will make more sense in the context of the album itself
| |
Kinda boring :/
Digging: Peste Noire - Livre III - On S?en Fout |
| |
Song is softer than Tribestos and thepalaceofwisdom combined.
| |

I agree with this tbh.
| |
i liked the mood and vibe, cool
| |
I like it- not an amazing song by ANY means, but the mood and vibe are good enough to make me want to listen to the album
| |
Hoping for more in terms of style change. He's tuck with this style for a whole now...
| |
it's decent
| |
It's okay...kinda boring, but I'll give it a few more listens maybe it will grow on me.
| |
It did actually grow on me after a few listens.. Not exactly the bee's knees, but i'm definitely interested in hearing more.
| |
yeah this is groovy
| |
Wow this ain't bad. Last thing I ever dug was Golden Age. Liking the new logo too
| |
the song lacks an awesome solo in my opinion, to make it truly good. But I didn't like anything off the two last albums when this is agreable.
| |
Oh sweet! I didn't even know this was coming out. And it rules.
| |
Damn his vocals still sound great. Loving this and looking forward to the new record for sure after the excellent Born Villain.
| |
It sounds in line with the last three albums. It's fine, but Manson's music was more exciting when it was a commentary on the state of the world rather than just on himself.
| |
^
This.
I think that's what I find the biggest shame, his lyrics had taken a nose dive for years because of it.
| |
Great song.
| |
He has a new song that plays twice in "John Wick". I think it was called "Killing Strangers". It's freaking good so if it's on the new album as well as this, I'm VERY excited.
| |
Killing Strangers was great, agreed. I was hoping he'd go down that path more sonically.
| |
Acceptable.
Shame he's probably on a 17 year coke binge and has been wasting his obvious intelligence producing average to poor music ever since ACSS.
Looking back on his lyrics now I'm not an angry teen, they're mainly horrendous.
| |
Obviously haven't heard anything past Antichrist then.
| |
Yeah cause especially Holy Wood and even Mechanical Animals are both superior to Antichrist Superstar
| |
Agreed hard.
| |
Even taking music to one side, the lyrics are intelligent in MA and HW
| |
Solid song.
| |
Yeah, Manson has had some good lyrics. But at the band's most vital (in the '90s), it connected as angry and empowering music for
outsider teenagers. So any embarrassment over the lyrics in your now older age is maybe just embarrassment over who you once
were. The initial responses we have when we're young aren't necessarily worth less.
| |
I disagree. I felt that ACSS contained some genuine fear and anger and has some lyrics I can still connect with now. Songs like Dried Up, Tied Up, and Dead to the World I can still get along with.
I think that after ACSS he was just chasing the record sales and lyrics which might sound clever on first inspection turn out to be mostly devoid of any meaning.
And yes, I have heard all of his albums past ACSS.
| |
I completely disagree with that statement, as Holy Wood was probably his most cryptically intelligent album, which was also probably his most personal, due to what he went through with the media etc.
But which ever way you look at it, he only ever shows signs of quality loss, lyrically, when The Golden Age came out.
| |
I really like it and I can't wait for the album.
| |
It's growing on me a lot more than when it first came out.
