Nightwish lose drummer

2014-08-06 by Shiranui | 19 Comments
Nightwish have announced their recent loss of drummer Jukka Nevalainen. Due to health issues in the long-term case of insomnia, the drummer has stated that taking a break from band
activities would be the right decision.

He explains that after gathering back his strength, he will gladly re-join the band, however an exact point in time cannot be predicted.

He also explains that the band won't have to part ways with him completely, since he will take on a managerial position within the group, but for the rehearsal of their forthcoming
album, as well as the upcoming tour, the band has to rely on Kai Hahto, a close friend of Jukka.

Check this for the official statement from the band and Jukka himself:

Aww damn, I liked the drummer as well but nice to know he's still going to be part of the band. An album soon would be
nice too

Imaginarium was excellent, Jukka is great, etc. etc. Nightwish's upcoming album will be (hopefully)
flawless! Tuomas's ''The Life and Times of Scrooge'' was excellent!

Dark Passion Play was much better than both of those IMO. I wanna hear the album already

Although Jukka's charisma is somewhat important to the band's demeanor I think he is substitutable regarding skills and technique. Looking forward to the new album with Floor, she rulez hard!

Dark Passion Play has awesome music but the vocals just ruin it. I'm jamming the ''instrumental version'' since yesterday.
