KiD CuDi New Album Release 2014-02-26 by renegadestrings | 17 Comments | In an attention-grabbing move that seems to be becoming more popular with notable artists,
Scott Mescudi (known popularly by his stage name KiD CuDi) released his latest album
on Monday at midnight with little to no advance notice.
The album, entitled "Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon", is especially
surprising
considering it comes hot-off-the-heels of CuDi's last album, "Indicud", released in April
2013.
Though there were hints of a new EP/album in the works, it wasn't officially announced
until
late Monday night. CuDi himself seemed to even tease the fans a little by obfuscating
the date of release:
"Cudi pointed out that Satellite Flight’s release date was originally listed on iTunes as
April 29, "but that's a glitch. Or is it," he tweeted with a wink." - LA Times
Despite what the album title suggests, the latest album seems to retain KiD CuDi's
signature
sound mixed with some newer elements and is NOT influenced by the music/concepts of
Coheed
& Cambria or Between the Buried and Me.
The album can be purchased on iTunes and a link is included in the following website.

how subversive
| | | solid 3.2
| | | much better than indicud. that album was truly a mistake.
| | | I might have to listen to this more, i mean it sounds better than Indicud but still sounds kinda weak
at times. Especially the instrumentals, im really disappointed in "In My Dreams 2015" especially
considering how much i loved the original.
| | | pumped to check it out.
| | | Gmemberkills, i completely agree. In My Dreams 2015 is just a filler track, which, in the context of the album, is fine... but not when its named after one of his best songs.
and why can't i edit the spaces of this news article? every time i try to space the sentences correctly, it jumbles them up and puts the next word a line below where its supposed to be
| | | "and is NOT influenced by the music/concepts of Coheed & Cambria or Between the Buried and Me."
either i get this joke and lololol
or....wut?
| | | I SEE PRETTY GIRLS EVERYWHERE I GO
| | | Never cared for this guy, is it even worth checking out?
| | | indicud was good
| | | I thought Indicud had some pretty catchy tracks, that being said it was really boring, and noticeably produced himself. This though, is even more boring, and still is no where close to his older material.
| | | @SGGreenman check out his first two albums they're great. I haven't listened to this yet but I'm planning on it as soon as I get home.
| | | Indicud was slightly better than this but thats not saying much.
I'm all for an artist experimenting and branching out but the quality of the music shouldn't suffer
because of it. There is more filler on this than an Oscar Meyer sandwich. Almost nothing interesting
about this except maybe the atmosphere.
2.5/5
| | | good soundoff bro.

| | | Album is great, the instrumental tracks are pretty atmospheric and it is a cohesive listen all together. Really enjoyed it upon first listen
| | | The last track is by far the best. I love the instrumentation.
