Lamb Of God On Conan

2007-02-08 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 7 Comments
Grammy-nominated heavy metal group Lamb of God have been named as musical guests for tomorrow [Friday's] edition of Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

Said drummer Chris Adler: "It's exciting to think that national television has come far enough in our direction to actually let a metal band like us on the air! We are very excited for the opportunity not only for ourselves, but for the doors it will help to break down for heavy metal in general. We are flattered to be in this position, thankful to Conan and his staff for their invitation, and looking forward to proudly kicking some serious ass on National TV."

It will be the Richmond, Virginia group's national television debut.

Don't care for the band very much at all but I still respect this very much. Good for them!

I think it would be an alternative to coffee as a way to jump start your day.

Everyone here in Richmond is going nuts about this. (The band members are also good friends of ours, so we're going even more nuts.) New here and dunno if including links in comments is okay (if not, whoever maintains this can feel free to remove my post) but FWIW, my goofy blog entry on the subject may be found here:

(In which I also drool rather excessively about Otep Shamaya, whom I've only met once, so yes, it's embarrassingly fannish of me, but what the hell.)This Message Edited On 02.09.07
