why are they bothering?
|
| |
Because they're fucking Black Sabbath. Deal with it.
|
| |
who cares
|
| |
No metal band has ever released an album titled "13" either. Black Sabbath has been breaking new ground since the late '80s.

What about Megadeth's 'Th1rt33n' or whatever you call it?
|
| |
I have really little expectations for this album, Im sure im not the only one
|
| |
Man Sabbath could release a doom metal masterpiece but that's probably not going to happen. Probably just going to sound like a slightly heavier version of ozzys solo stuff
|
| |
Aww f**k it I'm gonna place hope in this.
|
| |
@chopseuy: That's the joke
|
| |
Who cares.
|
| |
ooooh
|
| |
Wow, creative fucking album title. Remember how well it worked with Megadeth? IT DIDN'T. Plus, this is gonna suck without Bill Ward
|
| |
Megadeth's album title was way worse. 13 was actually spelled out and had numbers replace letters.

fuck this bring on gorguts

^ YES

@chopsuey
You activated his trap card!
|

Brad Wilk could bring some new energy, Bill Ward (God bless the man) hasn't had it together since the 70's. As long as Tony and Geezer are there, anything is possible. It's just a matter of whether Ozzy gets carried away with the pro tools and all that.
Rick Rubin is probably one of the only producers who could salvage something out of this.
here's hoping anyways...
|
| |
Hoping it will be good. Won't be as good as there original stuff but they may release something worth while. I mean when they reunited with Ronnie James Dio and did The Devil You Know it wasn't bad. So there's hope.
|
| |
yep, probably total pap
|
| |
you'd think they'd have learned a lesson about using rick rubin from metallica.
|
| |
Less than two months in and God is dead confirmed for the year 2013.
|
| |
did metallica use Rick or was it the other way around?
Maybe it should be Joe Bareisi
|
| |
fuck this bring on gorguts [2]
Sabbath is great and all but I have literally no expectations for this. In fact I'm going to forget I read this and pretend I don't know it's happening. That'll probably be better.
also, rubin
|
| |
The Devil You Know had great songwriting. You guys make me sad.
|
| |
Only good thing that can come out of this album is it means Sabbath won't end their catalogue with Forbidden. Anything else is a bonus.
|
| |
^Pretty much sums it up. Unless this somehow turns out to be worse lol
|
| |
Maiden is really the only classic metal band that'll release anything worthwhile these days
|
| |
Iommi will definitely have some great ideas for riffs, Geezer is the man and The Devil You Know is an excellent album. So, yes I don't have really high expectations but that doesn't mean that their album will be crap. If Ozzy turns up and does what Iommi and Geezer tell him to do the album will be fine.
|
| |
they re the best band ever, i have some expectations for this
|
| |

If they somehow make something worse than Forbidden they deserve some sort of reward. Nobody with any discernible talent can do worse than that (which is also why Black Veil Brides are yet to release anything as good as Forbidden).
|
| |
Hey man, the title track on that album is pretty good. Nothing to jump for joy about, but it doesn't resemble St. Anger, either.
|
| |
Let them do their thing. Why not. It doesn't bother you. And if it does, go listen to your Oceano or your Wilco pusi.
|
| |
riffs will rule
tony will rule
geezer will rule
ozzy will suck
production and mastering will be awful (rubin)
