Van Halen Set To Ink Tour Deal 2007-01-24 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 4 Comments | According to Billboard.com, Van Halen could sign a deal as early as today (Wednesday) guaranteeing to perform forty ampitheatre dates across North America, touring for the first time in over fifteen years with original singer David Lee Roth.
The band last toured in 2004 with Sammy Hagar, who replaced the departed Roth in the mid-80s. Bassist Michael Anthony, who's been with the band since the beginning, has not been invited back for the tour and has been replaced by Eddie Van Halen's fifteen year-old son Wolfgang.
