GN'R To Headline Rock In Rio 2006-02-20 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 6 Comments | [url=http://www.sp1at.com/]Sp1at.com[/url] reports that the second-generation Guns N' Roses will headline this year's Rock In Rio festival in Lisbon, Portugal.
Rock In Rio-Lisboa 2006 will take place in two instalments- the main portion of the festival taking in three days from June 2-4. Already confirmed for the fifth edition of the legendary rock festival are Roger Water, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anastacia and Sting, who will close the event on the evening of June 4.
Should the band be confirmed for this year's festival, it will be their third time playing. The original Guns N' Roses band played Rock In Rio II in 1991, while Axl Rose's reformed Roses rocked Rio ten years later.
Guns have also been confirmed for the Nova Rock festival in Austria from June 15-17, co-headlining with Metallica.

Guns N'Roses will play the Gods of Metal Festival in Italy.
The festival takes place on 3rd/4th June 2006.
